Follow up question: I'm arriving in BKK at 22:50 and expect to be in Pattaya around 01:30. Is there any way to get to the Diamond Beach hotel at that time? I expect walking street will be closed to traffic.

Thanks. I've been and am back home already. What you describe is almost exactly my experience - after I ended up with a regular they stopped taking her card. I stayed on the 8th floor which is nice cause you can walk out and look at the bay in the morning. I'll be staying there again in June.

Hi all, I'm interested in staying close Walking Street. I stayed at the White Rose 2(?) on a little soi just over from soi Diamond once. I'm also looking at whether the Diamond Beach hotel is a good one? Any other suggestions? Is it difficult to be hard to get a hotel room start of March? Last time a friend drove me down and I just walked into the hotel and took a room. thanks! tko
