  1. I flew cathay on my last trip. I found it to be ok, I liked the screen and also the adjustable headrest with the little wings that fold out. I am very tall and it helps to have the headrest, as opposed to JAL with the miniture seats that barely reach my shoulders. But the best thing about my flight on cathay was that I was one of the lucky guys that got the roundtrip lax to bkk for just $146. Oh well back to reality.
  2. the A330 that eva has will be nice on the medium haul runs throughout asia but it really doesnt have the range for the long haul pacific runs. The 777-200LR will definatly work on any run they want. It will be very efficent and comfortable for the passengers, and it can easily go from virtualy any city in the US direct to LOS. I am not sure that is their plan but dam it sure would be nice to get on one plane and just arive in BKK like 16 hours later. Oh well just a matter of time I hope
  3. nice price, how far out can you book that. I might want to snag that deal for late Dec or Jan
  4. Yea. I am one of the lucky ones that got that fare. I cant believe it. I am coming on 6/12 and staying for 3 and half weeks. I will be all over LOS but definatly stopping in Pattaya for a bit of R&R. Is there anyone else taking the flight on 6/12. Be nice to have someone to talk with on the plane beside the average joe. ------ Dave
  5. singapore is now flying non stop to and from Las Vegas. So I would think that the distance is a not that much of a problem. They are using a 777. For me I just feel safer on a 4 engined larger plane like the 747-400
  6. will they do something somewhere sometime? YES Will we be able to stop them? NO will the world community get the balls to face the real issue? NO will we lose more and more freedoms, to "protect ourselves from terrorist"? YES does any of this matter to the average Thai? NO does any of this matter to me? NO should this matter to you? NO Use common sense, hope for a bit of luck, and get on with your life while you still can. The true danger is not in getting blown up, but in having your country decide it is "not safe" for you to travel outside its boarders. a few nut case cult types are p
