I've used jetstar a few times & they were on time but have heard the stories!

I also use the insurance attached to the visa card and I have never had to claim however I have never heard anything detrimental regarding claiming.

Totally agree with Fatboyfat's post having stayed at both.

I'm with the rest of the replies so far...........against. Really can't see airlines allowing it.

I went to Chiang Mai last Oct to see something different & that was worthwhile for a few days.

I like to book so i know that I have a safe driver (I emphasise this when i book). Getting a metered taxi is fine as long as the driver is ok. The 3 times I have been to pats I have used Lost In Space service twice with his wife Jan, good driver, good service. Third time used Proper Limiosines (only because Jan was unavailable due to baby) also good. I have used "limosines" and metered taxi's from Patong airport that I took when I got there & some were so scary to ride with that i have ordered them to stop so I could get out.

yes, I give loose change to any beggars that are cripple but not to the ones with a baby (well not any more!!). Allways thought about the mafia involvement but just not sure i suppose!
