  1. My point was that a holocaust did not happen simply because of some jokes in a beer hall. Did you read my post at all before you hastily replied. It was about the facts that jokes don't start holocausts. Did you miss that? How can you claim that all the history i know is what i have read and resonates with my gut. And for that, am i truely ignorant on the subject? I will add that i have a degree in modern history, so do we now have to list credentials to our posts to emphasis who's more right? And to add, my country is steep in history and i have seen sites where crimes against jews have been commited. They are shamefull acts in history. I doubt these were started with jokes about jews in the back street pubs in ancient england. I am happy that allot of your family were born in germany 1925, i guess that gives you a right to oppinion. But what has that to do with my post you replied to? It would be pointless to rip this post apart. All i state is the holocause never started because of jokes in beer hall. Sorry you missed that.
  2. How sure are you that the holocaust and campaign of murder started specifically because of jokes in a beer hall? I was at the understanding that allot of the racial tensions in german society in the 30's and 40's, was due to a severe depression, with the background set from the 1st world war. Whilst in this great depression, most germans had difficulty obtaining food, so anger grew against the jewish community because allot of jewish bakerys supplied to jewish families 'through the back of the shop' whilst claiming to be out of stock. Jewish businesses are known to have profiteered in this financial climate with a dual pricing policy or 'family pricing'. You may dispute my facts, i am no historian and can not remember where i read this, it's history. I was never in germany in the 40's, niether were you. But for a fact, i dispute your facts. The holocaust did not start in a beer hall telling jokes. Nope, i am not a racist before you start a troll war. But i do like jokes. "Mummy, can you get pregnant through anal sex" "Why yes love, thats where muslims come from". It's only a joke..................
  3. Beside the point but i had it the other way. I was overchanged. I changed up £200 on the way to walking street on a kiosk on beach road. I like this kiosk as i seem to get a little extra, then we walk the final 200 meters to walking street checking out the coconut girls. At the kiosk i knew £200 would get me something just less than 10,000TBH, maybe 9600 as the pound was at 47-48. I walked away with 12 x 1000TBH notes and told my teelak who seemed happy with the situation. I ended up 2000+ up, i couldn't be exact because i only pay attention to the 1000's and 500's. I was expecting 9 x 1000 but ended up with 12 so i knew immediatly i'd hit the jackpot. Whilst on Walking Street the guilt set in. I reminded my teelak of the times she was short working in the big C where she had to make up the difference (somedays working for free) , so the next night we went back, my girl checked to see if the cashier was on, and they got a printout of her shortfall. The lady was short 2227 short that night, and yes, i payed the shortfall. I walked off feeling rather stupid, but somehow hoped that i would recieve good karma. Then 4 weeks later in England, i won the Euromillions picking up over £20million. As if...............
  4. Used these flights twice, October08 and April 09, TG917 and TG910. Seems like the old planes i liked are getting changed. On both flights in October08 LHR-BKK and BKK-LHR, there was no IFE apart from the crappy shared screen thats not worth jack. As i stated in another thread, i didn't mind, the flight was packing a lot of legroom. In April 09, LHR-BKK it was still the old plane i like, but on the return trip i was onboard a newer plane, less legroom and the IFE was ok. As long as you can find something to amuse yourself that is. In flight entertainment is a necessity in helping survive a longhaul, but if your cramped up like on Qatar, you won't be able to enjoy it. Thats why i fly thai and will maybe try Eva next April. I'll never fly Qatar or have a stop-over ever again.
  5. Just seen the chart. I fly thai airways now. It lists that Qatar is 33"-34" and thai is the same at 34" flying economy. Seems odd. Remembering the Qatar flight, i never got a tape measure out but i was so cramped. The on-board computer was placed underneath the seat meaning i could barely put my feet underneath the seat in front, instead i had to sit upright most the time. My first experience with thai was with an old plane, Oct 08, no in seat entertainment. The legroom was fantastic, if not unbelieveable in comparison. Sorry if your 'legroom chart' doesn't agree with my personal experience. I guess it may depend upon which plane is being used at the time. On my last return trip from BKK-LHR, thai airways used a new plane. OK, in seat entertainment and less legroom than the older plane but still, allot better than the Qatar experience. Like i stated, i would rather pay £504 thai airways that i did (5weeks to takeoff), in comparison to £387 with Qatar with a stopover at Doha.
  6. Goodluck with the Qatar Airwais flight. My 1st trip from LHR-BKK, was with Qatar, never again. As a 6 foot tall person, they had the worst legroom you could imagine. I'd rather pay another £150 instead of going through that torture 4 times (stop-over there and back). Sometimes you get what you pay for. Food and on-board entertaiment were'nt so bad.
