I was working when the USA V ALGERIA match was on. However, I was told the game went as you described. Algeria was out of it so rather go for any scores, they simply stayed back and played for a draw. I dont know if this is the case or not. As I said, I didnt see any of the game. In that very same game, another goal by the USA was disallowed. This is the second time a goal as be taken and thoughts here in the states are started to move away from not of the notion of "Bad calls" but to "intentional calls". Sport and politics....

For most of us Americans, this is the only time when soccer is big news and from the viewpoint of an average American soccer fan dives are a MAJOR reason the sport hasn't had the same success as it has world wide. Why the hell hasnt anyone drafted a rule stating that if a call is in question and a player is found to have made an unjust "DIVE" he will be suspend for atlest one game? With Players getting bumped in the chest and falling on the ground holding their noses or getting tapped on the left leg but falling to the ground holding their right, REALLY??? Of couse the sport doesnt need our country's support but I would think more people like paul230 and others are out there, who have real passion for the game, would love to see change. But hey, remember, its FIFA we're really talking about. A body more corrupt that a gambling addicted politican. Payoffs and bribes would be very hard to mantain with instant replay or overnight reviews. NOthing will change.

Ive decided to flip my trips. Ill be going to peru and cuzco in june and use my September holiday for LOS. I'd rather deal with rainy days in September and cheaper fares than go in June, get ripped off and only have a week to spend in the country

Eva air, from LAX TO BKK just jumped from 1478 to 3000usd. Thats insane. THai air may be my pick, as they are around 1800 for the same class. As far as economy, with EVA, they're sold out.

On second road, near soi 8, there's a really nice supermarket( Central is the name I believe). They have fresh produce along with meats. I feel for you, Diabetes runs in my family and although I dont have it, I know what a bitch it'll be getting in 4 to 5 shots a day all while trying to monger about.....14 hour flights. good luck. Sunshine hotel is on soi 8 and I think you can get a room for 25 bucks a night. They check and hold IDs and will even call your room if you dont see your "guest"out.

Ok, 10,000 people wearing red shirts cant keep me from celebrating my birth in LOS , so long as they dont takeover the Airport .My question to you vets have an understanding of thai government, give your predictions of when or how this will end. I have a Hitachi 42" plasma and the picture is better than a friends of mines 46" LCD. I bought mine in 2005 for 3000.00 usd. It does get hot and is taxing on the electric bill. But the new stuff out now, LCD have caught up to the picture quality of the plasma and both have dropped so much in price. The first HD plasma I saw in person, the owner paid 6000.00 USD

Saw the movie "Holly" 2 weeks back. Its takes place in Cambodia and filmed in a P4P part of the country. If the movie is anything close to the way that counrty is, you should let it be. Flew China air RT LAX BKK, economy, and was ok. I use EVA elite class now and I love it. Side note, best to find one airline and stick to it for the Miles earned. I wasted the miles on two RT LAX BKK. by now, I could have upgraded to 1st class.

THe USA was gased but in their defense, the basketball players on need run 94 feet to cover the entire playing area. A soccer/footballer must run, what, 100yards or more and no time outs?. I give soccer players high praise running 45 minute straight. I've seen fat basketballers but never anyone in soccer fat.(while playing atleast errr Maradona). You're correct. Even though they gave up a 2-0 lead and will probably lose, they played very well. Brazil just keeps coming and coming, they look the fresher team at this point.

2-0 at the end of first time. USA is playing with lots of heart. They're doing a good job of clear out shots and Tim Howard has played a great first half. But hey, its Brazil and they'll be out for arse second half.
