Jacko, Do you have any links to the information about the FTA between China and Thailand? I can only find the information about the one that covers fruit and veggies. I would like to have something that shows the boss that we can ship from Thailand to China under the FTA.

You can live very comfortably for 40-60k baht per month. This is providing you live the life of a Thai middle class person. I did this for 4 years in Thailand. I had a car, two kids, a wife, motorcycle, paid utilities, school for the kids, etc etc etc. Granted it was deffo not in Pattaya or Bangkok. YES YOU CAN LIVE QUITE WELL, per Thai standards of living. You want to live the life of your homeland in Thailand, and it's going to cost you around the same amount of money.

Yep, it's a piss take. They lump Chonburi and Pattaya into the same price bracket. I don't mind though. Funny, I used to get the same service from Don Muang at 1,200 baht. Now, Swampy is a helluva lot closer, and I have to pay more. DOH!

Eventually, you would think you guys would wise up. How many times does Bradly have to prove to you guys, that he doesn't know dick about anything? He hasn't made a post with up to date information for a damn long time. Pathetic to watch a sad loser, forced to leave Thailand, and still trying to hold on to it and think he matters. Bwahahahaha!

The Aussie Bar, Soi 7. Seems as though your good buddy mulphy frequents this place a lot now, along with his personal ass licker Punter69. -
I saw a pretty large selection of tinned Sardines this morning at the grociery store across the street. I will have a look next time (I don't personally eat the smelly fuckers), and if there are some in olive oil, I will bring you some in a few weeks.

That's what I have been doing recently as well. Less hassle, don't have to walk all over hell to get to the car. I usually get a newer Isuzu MU7 to take me to Chonburi for 1,500 baht. I just put it on my credit card, and write it off on my travel expenses. The only bad thing about this option is, you got to pay the fucking rort prices for beer at the airport.

Happened to me about 8 years ago. My family shipped some stuff over to us around Christmas time. A suit case full of gifts. Got the call from customs. They wanted to charge me $1,200 baht import duty for a bag of Dorrito corn chips. I told them they could keep them, and took the rest of the stuff. Two years ago, once again Christmas gifts got snagged by customs. This time, they wanted 2,500 baht, because the little Barbie Doll make up kit for my daughter had lip stick and nail polish in it. I said, "you can keep it if you want, just send the rest of the stuff on down." Next day everything was delivered, including the make up kit. If customs gets their grubby hands on it, you can be sure they will try to extort money from you. Sure roy pa cent!

After the recent events of gun pulling in the locker room of an NBA team after a game, something needs to be done. For far too long the NBA, and all of the professional sports in the USA for that matter, has been a safe haven for thugs. Here are my thoughts on cleaning up the NBA. 1) No more fines on players for when they do stupid shit. Fines should be handed to all teams, when a single player needs to be disciplined. I don't mean these little slap on the wrist 100,000 USD fines, I mean large fines. One player on a team fucks up, then all the teams have to pay, and pay big. If you start handing out multi million dollar fines to all teams, even though it wasn't their player that pulled a boner, you can guarantee that they will put pressure on the team that employs the fucking idiot that committed the act. Teams will start looking a little more closely at the players they hire to play for them. Get the fucking thugs out of the game! 2) The NBA caters to street thugs by the way the game has evolved into a ghetto style game. Change that shit! I would make a slam dunk worth only 1 point, along with any shot taken within the paint worth 1 point as well. Basketball is about shooting the ball, not about hot doggin dunks and layups. Reward the true players of the game. You want a 2 point dunk, you must leave the ground outside the paint. The paint must also be made wider, to almost a complete square. Fucking thugs want to jump? Let's see them fuckers jump! 3) Too many fouls are allowed. Reduce the number of fouls allowed. If players foul out faster, there will be less fouls. 4) Too many trades in the sport. How can a fan stay interested in a team, when the players change so damn often? I say, you are required to stay with the team that drafted you for a minimum of 10 years, unless you are cut. If you are cut, then you are allowed to join another team. If that team cuts you, then you are done for 5 years. After 5 years, you may join another team, and the process starts all over. 5) The coach needs respect from the players. The coach needs to be the highest paid person on the team. The management needs to stay out of player affairs, and let the coach make the calls. The coaches nowadays are a fucking joke. Those are just some of my thoughts. Call me fucking crazy? No problem. Let's hear your ideas.

I really want to upgrade my phone to 3.1.2, but am a little worried about stuffing it up. I wonder if the lads at Tukcom are privy to doing this now? If not, I might break down and visit your gaff to pour free drinks down your throat, in hopes you will upgrade it for me.

Have just got done reading about the Blackra1n as a matter of fact. Hmmm, can not restart without it. That would be a pain in the arse. I do have to restart a lot, as I run some of the bigger Apps and they hang once in a while. I guess I will wait and see if they come out with something better in the next month or so. In China now, you can get licenses iPhones through a Chinese provider, so no need to JailBreak them. Is there a licensed provider in Thailand as of yet? I might just give this phone to my wife, and get a new one that is licensed? I do like the phone though. I very rarely get my lappy out when traveling now. I can do all my Word and Excell docs on the phone and then just email them to myself. Only wish I could run my SolidWorks software on it.

Hello all. Just a general question for some. When I purchased my iPhone in Thailand, they said "Do not upgrade it!" period. Now, I see on the Cydia sight, that there is a way to upgrade to 3.1.2, if you use Pwnage Tool. Has anyone done this? Success? Phone fucked? Was it difficult? Reason I am asking, is that all the cool new Apps only run on the new version. It really pishes me off I can't download them.

More complete rubbish from the guy that is so full of shit his eyes are brown. The bullshit that he posts is just laughable. Bradly, why not just wanker off. Thailand forgot about you a couple hours after your plane took off. Why not forget about Thailand?
-
I keep telling you guys, this twunt is 99.99% bullshit. When you actually respond to his rubbish, you are helping him wank one off.

UBC Satellite TV in Thailand (name has changed, as they were bought out). You can get any sports you want with the right packages. No need to go without your footy mate. I don't think they have any sheep porn though. So, you might be fucked there.

I am well aware of the issues with Non Imm B visas. I have had numerous work permits over my 10 years in Thailand. Thanks for posting the info here though.
-
I do not spend anough time all at one time there with the family now. I pop in for a week or two every other month, sometimes pop in for a couple days for business meetings. When we open our manufacturing facility in Thailand, I will have a work permit and 1 year business visa through the company.
-
I do spend a good amount of time there, but never more than 30-45 days at a time now that I am working in China. Most of the time now, I don't even bother with the 60 day visa, I just use the 30 day on arrival.
-
No. If you go on the last day of your 60 day visa, they will charge you for a 1 day over stay, and you might even get a nice little lecture. I would advise doing it no later than 2 days before the Visa expires. I get 60 days added to mine, because I show my marriage certificate and daughters birth certificate.
