  1. Don't forget you need to take the sellers residence certifice with you ( as prev mentioned) plus copy of his passport and the official transfer form signed by the seller. If possible you should get the seller to go with you and complete the deal there.
  2. +1 you can get a tourist visa by mail in Aus but you do have to send your passport to them so make sure you register the article - it is virtually a same day service once it gets to the emabassy/consulate and you'll have you passport with visa back within the week.
  3. Have seen the sign on Soi Watboon (its in a small soi between Watboon and Chaiyaprek). Never stayed there so can't comment about quality/value for money, but just be aware that its a bit too far for most to walk to the beach and its not on a baht bus route - not an issue if you rent a motor bike.
  4. Mataleo - its no good having something that shows where someone else lives - you have to have something that shows where you live - if there is nothing in your name at all then try getting your GF to write a letter explaining that you are residing with her and include a photocopy of her Thai ID card - that should be enough. You said earlier that you had a Thai bank account, so maybe you have some bank paperwork that shows your address - don't get too worried about it just go in with what you have and put in the application - if they aren't satisfied with what you show them, they will just t
  5. Not had a bike stolen - but I should have on at least 3 occasions. Ist time I arrived back at the bike 4 or 5 hours later and patted myself looking for which pocket I had (or hadn't as it turned out) put the keys. Thai guy standing outside a hotel across the road clapped his hands to get my attention and pointed to the bike - sure enough there were the keys in the ignition just waiting for someone to "borrow" it for the night. The hotel worker had obviously noticed them there beforehand (or hotel guest had noticed them and brought it to his attention) and was keeping an eye on it.
  6. There isn't a "Pattaya" number plate as such - the number plates are for the Chonburi province and nothing on the plate is in English. So you could give your friend and plate from anywhere in Thailand and tell him its from Pattaya - unless he reads Thai he will be none the wiser. I have a "spare" motor bike plate laying around somewhere LOL
  7. There is a railway station at Suvarabhumi - go down to the basement - takes you into center of BKK in about 20 mins and there is a railway station in Pattaya - in fact several stations. The line runs parallel to Suhkumvit (on the east side about 100 metres over). But getting from the airport to Pattaya by train is out of the question- especially at night
  8. Jeese 9cosco999 ........ do you really expect anyone to squint that hard to read your post in order to reply with an intelligent answer - for goodness sake change the font size you post with.....
  9. Paul - any updates on the sale - did you take it to auction ? I do know the location and have stayed in S1 and S2 before and now rent a unti across in A2. Have to agree the original add didn't get the full message across well and that led to some derogatory comments. I am not in Patts right now but will be in a few months and would consider a business in this well run condo complex very seriously if it were available at that time.
