Unusual Franchises for sale , sited near Bkk
buriramboy replied to Obsession's topic in Idle Chit Chat
Would depend on how much money you wanted to make for example 4 female pigs just chucking out little piggies and fattening them up if the profit is all yours could make you 15-20k baht a month averaged out over a year and that was just supplying the local village in the main, a medium sized sheep farm would easily be supported by hotels/restaurants in Pattaya/Bangkok if you could provide a regular supply, the main start up costs would obviously be importing X amount of animals and all the shite that would involve which is what makes it a non starter for most people, but i still reckon if someo -
Unusual Franchises for sale , sited near Bkk

I thought the numbers sounded good at first too, but when i started doing it via the in laws i soon lost interest when the reality was somewhat different, still turned a profit and think the misses was getting 10,000 + baht a month on average for her cut when the pigs were sold, but as i said you'd have to do it on a massive scale to make a farang wage. I still reckon sheep farming would be worth a punt for someone who knows what they are doing as the price of lamb is extortionate in Thailand, although i am led to believe they do keep some sheep in the South of Thailand i've certainly nev -

You'd have to do pigs on a large scale to make a liveable wage, from birth to selling them at 6-8 months old when you factor in food etc. i (the inlaws) were making roughly 2,000 baht a pig (would sell for 5-6000 baht), i found the most profitable way was having 4 sows and they would have litters of 6-10 piggys if i remember and they were fetching 1000-1500 baht at 6-8 weeks old and had only been feeding on mommys tits during that period so no food costs for them. -
It's sport, only right that the underdog should come out on top now and again, bit harsh that they ended up shooting the bull though, case of a bad loser.

The guy is harmless, just a Pattaya personality who doesn't take himself seriously yet others seem to for some reason, and all the people calling for him to be banned would probably be the same people saying they miss his ramblings if he was, also a bit ironic that when he was banned/binned people copied and pasted his posts onto the main board, as others have said no one is forced to open and read a topic that is of no interest to them and also while never having used it myself i'm reliably informed that the 'ignore' function should be in most peoples capabilities and i'm pretty sure if someo

Solution - lie, or rather don't volunteer the truth.

Why choose Thailand if this is how you feel???

I came to the same conclusion after only 1 visit.

You'll never see 65 again unless there are some major unforseen circumstances, doubt you'll even see 55 again, so a bit pointless having all your money stashed away if you're never going to spend it, get used to 45-50 being the new 'normal' rate. Although i'll probably end back up in Thailand and after best part of 10 years living there and now back in England for 18 months and enjoying it not sure at the moment if i actually fancy living in the developing world again for a long period of time, might have to start looking at various places in Europe as an alternative, Greece, Spain, Portugal o

Glitterman Speaks About GAY [Public Statement]
buriramboy replied to glitterman's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
No straight man would come out with a denial speech like that. -
If anyone is relying on a state pension for their retirement funds they are in serious trouble, what does a £100 a week do for you or what ever it is?????

Since when has Teakdoor been a Pattaya forum, honestly you really are too dumb for words at times, you even quoted the bit where i said Pattaya forum.
-
Yes i know exactly what it was about and if memory serves me right it was just me and him out that night and hence i talked him out of doing something stupid, and i know he aplogised afterwards and rightly so, can't remember mulphy being there, but then again i never did take any notice of him, but was definately just kolobos on the back of my bike. My point has really nothing to do with glittermans identitiy, it has to do with threats of violence on Thai forums and the likelyhood of them being carried out and that being used a reason, hence my use of Harris Black as an example who has pr

First off Harris Black is not my mate in any way, shape or form and i have more reason than most if not all to wish the demise of the guy, and as to being a thick cunt well that is obviosly the person who is continually missing the point about violence, as in Harris Black has been threatened with death and violence on all forums for his actions and has a finger ever been laid on him, NO. So then why would you presume that the glitterman would get attacked for views or actions that in no way come close to the actions of said Harris, while i admit there are pyschos who use the boards namely mulp
-
So an ideal board for many of you would just be a bunch of guys who hold the same views and agree on everything, hardly makes for any interesting and lively debate/discussions. And as to glittermans safety, again i'll use Harris Black as an example, the guy has had numerous death threats and threats of extreme violence against him from keyboard warriors from all boards for years now, the guy is easy to find and goes about his business out in the open and has a finger ever been laid on him????
-
This is why all boards are boring as fok now a days, they all have their own little cliques who all enjoy slapping each other on the back and should someone come along and post that doesn't fit in with the norm and god forbid post alternative views they are got rid of, thus returning the board back to a back slapping clique. Personally can't see what all the fuss about, just one of the many odd balls who live in Pattaya expressing his views, so he doesn't drink or fuck whores, big deal. And as to the reason about suspending him because of his personal safety that is just laughable when comapre

More of an issue seems to be that people are judged on their quality of life by how much alcohol and how many ho's they consume per month, so basically if you don't drink and ain't into banging ho's you must be having a miserable time in Thailand, but if you're banging a different ho and getting smashed out your head everynight, that seems to be classed as the ultimate standard of living in some peoples eyes, the mind boggles at times, it really does.

That's always the problem with these type of threads, some people presume that everyone is a barfly and monger and that is their sole purpose for wanting to live in Thailand, no i have no doubt that that is the criteria for some people but not for most, when i lived in Bangkok and Pattaya there were only a couple of guys i knew (expats) who i would describe as hardcore mongers, now i'm not claiming that most people were faithful to their partners and didn't have a bunk up when the mood took them as they did but it wasn't a major part in anyones life (with a couple of exceptions) that i knew. Well said, Thailand is still thrid world in the main and most things are still cheap especially outside of the tourist areas, if not a barfly and whoremonger or neither activity plays a major part in your life, you can live a good life for next to nothing. People just have to decide what they want from life as everyone is different, someone may need 150,000 baht a month for the life they choose to live and someone else may only need 30,000 baht a month, i mean fok me if i lived in Buriram doubt i could even spend 30,000 month if i wanted too.
-
You could live more than comfortably on 54,000 baht a month in Thailand, remember most of the country lives on about 10% of that and seems to survive.
