They ARE to blame. It was poor planning on their part. Again if they had planned better, hired more security, and had Big Ticket items out of reach where they couldn't stampede each other trying to grab them then no one or at least less people would get hurt. I know cause I've done security for such events before. Poor planning and not enough staff means problems. I've had lines around the block midnight openings/sales for Apple, H&M, Holt Renfrew and piles more. After everything is said and done if anything goes wrong it's most likely because no one planned for it. In the end it is the responsiblity of whomever is hosting the event (ie. Walmart in this case). Which makes them liable. The instigaters and people who caused most of the problems get charged with assault and other similar charges but Walmart gets sued for negligence.

Ha Ha, so true. Where else can you find Fat, Hairy, Spandex-wearing, underwear-showing, crotch scratching, mullet hair-do SHE-Beasts walking down the aisles every day of the week.

True but it is the next best thing to rioting. I still think they should be punished for that behavior. It's like the Vancouver riots in Canada a few years ago. We've taken a lot of people to court over those incidents, mostly from video footage off peoples phones. And I never understood why the stores do that crap in the first place. All the high in demand stuff should be in the back and anybody who wants it has to stand in line like a normal person and asks for it when they get to the cashier. Then it gets brought to them in a reasonable manner, first come first served. Most of the battles like that happen over Big Ticket items and it could be kept to a minimum (sure it would still happen, just less of it) if they thought about it. Fighting, pushing, budding in line, etc... all that gets you tossed out with NO purchases, NO exceptions. That's how it should get done.
