Never heard Hotel California in all the years i've been coming to Thailand

Play off draw on Tuesday for my wee country. Avoid Italy is probably the best we can hope for...

For peace of mind, re safety, i'd go witht he higher one. Worst case scenario, just use ear plugs. Worst case scenario with the other, you could get robbed by what you've said. Just my opinion.

They were coming on leaps and bounds as well, a decent team not so long ago. Big Carlos Bocanegra leading the line.

As a reformed ex smoker, I'm all for it. Though I don't use the beach in Pattaya. Other places included are Phuket, Koh Samui and a few others. We're spending a few days in Krabi in January, but unfortunately don't see it on the list. Bit rubbish walking barefoot on an idyllic beach, kicking up fag butts. Penalty up to a year in jail, and or fine up to 100,000 Baht. Yes, scope for a few rinsings there... Edit - Link to the article - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-41579330

Yea, if I see a decent price on skyscanner and want to book, I usually went until I go into work next morning and book it then. But I don't book via skyscanner, I just see where they are directing me, Netflights, ebookers whatever, then try that direct. I also usually try travelsupermarket, kayak as well. I got 2 adults and 1 infant with EVA for £940 in January, a proper good deal. Seen it on skyscanner, it was Netflights, so booked with them. Cheap, as the tax on an infant is still a good bit.

I've recently noticed hair growing out of my ears, what's that all about ffs. Lucky enough I have a little Thai lady to pull them all out ?

Would be my view as well.

Always my number one consideration ?

And no fee for 'extra guests', for anyone who would need that sort of thing

Just booked this for first two nights when we arrive, stunning and two nights for £74 https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/18849751

Yea, i've never flew BA long haul, their reputation proceeds them.

I use it quite a bit since i joined a year or so ago, whether it's to go to the likes of Brighton for a weekend, or Tenerife etc. I find it very cheap, and i get what suits our needs, re having a washing machine and cooking facilities with having a young child. Have had no problems with it whatsoever. Has anyone used it in Pattaya? Was just having a look at Pattaya and Bangkok, there are some cracking deals, big really nice places for £20 odd, some offering long term deals. In general i find accomodation cheap in Thailand anyway, but some of the places offered are very, very good

I've been on EVA with quite a few empty seats, but i always go mid week, so not so busy i suppose. Yea, that's the bassinet seats, but she'll be 18 months in Jan, so they won't let us sit there, too old. Certainly yes, when i did fly the couple of times with Thai, it was due to the times suiting, the return moreso, i prefer night flights. But as said above, i mostly fly mid week, this time on a Thursday, and certainly have seen a good few 'spare' seats before. Probably just jinxed myself, but they're quite accomodating, an i'll ask at check in (because of the infant we go to t

Very rarely seen Thai the same price, usually up to £100 more in economy. Certainly many people must prefer Thai in economy, as two flights a day.

We're 46 J&K going, 46 A&B coming back, so not in the middle. I think they have moved us, as i had rang the London Office after booking, wanting a bassinet seat, though they said our daughter would be too old, they couldn't confirm that row but would put us directly behind, so in the middle. I'm fine with where we are now, behind but at the side. Hopefully no one in the third seat, so the missus can make a bed in two seats with the baby, everyone happy. If there is, i'll have to 'inform' them it would be better to move, as she'll cry if no sleep

I seen that yea, on the UK hot deals earlier. No luggage included i think, but even so, still cheap ...
-
That's with EVA, Baz, yes? So they have basically changed the 3 in the middle to a 4? We're booked for the middle for January, i'll have to contact them and get a change to the side 3, are they still the same?
-
Living in the UK, and prefering direct flights, i've always used Thai or EVA, well, nearly always EVA. I think the overall experience is better with EVA, and they are nearly always cheaper. We're booked for mid January, me the wife and our infant daughter, in total cost £940. I have flown Thai before, but that was before they changed/upgraded the aircraft? I found the then aircraft and fixtures looked a bit dated compared to EVA, the general attitude etc wasn't as good as EVA. Has the Thai upgrade made them better? Thing is, Thai fly twice a day from London, compared to EVA's

A lot of Monarch's business was in Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia etc, and when terrorisim stopped people going, Monarch had to try and compete in the likes of Spain with the big booys of Ryan Air and Easyjet, who have huge profits and can absorb low prices if the market dictates. Not so Monarch. I've flown them a couple of times, they were fine, though not much difference in the low cost airlines. Always best to pay for things like flights, holidays etc by credit card, much easier to get the money back. I do that and then just pay it off straight away, so no interest. I've been reading about

Hotel balcony falls - suicide or accident?
Irish boy replied to Yujin's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Pattaya's full of desperados, nothing surprises me about what happpens there. Whether it's people who have blown everything, nothing to go home to, wherever that may be, and purposely 'jump', or maybe they have been 'helped over' in some sort of money scam by someone they thought they could trust, or pissed/full of drugs. Some of the reports are very dubious to say the least. -
Not bad mate, nothing that couldn't have predicted beforehand I'll send you a PM on Facebook. A bit to public here to be discussing such things

When Mr Rushdie was 'hiding out' it was in Castlerock, a very isolated part of N.Ireland. Mad Muslim extremists would be spotted a mile away...................then maybe Mr Rushdie might've stood out as well .................though it seemed to work............
