  1. Hello Gents, I often take advantage of the Hilton Edge buffets at least once a week. Great view, atmosphere and the prices are very fair especially for the quality of food. Here are the buffet prices and schedules as of December 2012. Highly recommended!!!
  2. Sorry my friend it does not. If it did we would have said something along those lines. The price itself is very fair.

  4. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, hope to see some of you at the Reef today. We also extend a 10% discount to Pattaya Talk members, just tell us you are a member of this board.
  5. They are fairly decent Shiraz or Cabernets, I know it's not exactly cheap but "it is what it is" as the Thai tax on wine is wicked. Same bottles would be about $7-10 in the States.
  6. After some subsequent visits from the initial post, they actually have some reasonably priced entrees at around 600 to 900 baht which are specials somewhat buried in the menu that are very good. You can also get a fairly good bottle of wine for around 1500 to 1800 baht, best if you are sharing with somebody.

  8. I always take my Samsonite computer bag which is big enough for two computers or 1 computer and a days worth of clothes. I try and get a seat up front if possible as there is more room for belongings. If not, I just use it as something to lean on in the same seat as my person. IMHO this beats the hell out of the state run Ekamai bus route. BTW I'm 5'10" but I could see larger gents having an issue with the seat size.
  9. Most welcome, here's a link to their English website for even more information - http://www.pattayavan.com/2010/index_en.html
  10. In the future guys anybody that needs to change pesos to baht at a favorable rate comparable to the published rate, please PM me as I go back and forth like a ping pong ball. The money changers in Pats really try to screw you with Pesos, don't ever try to change them with those slags. Cheers!
  11. Hey buddy thanks for that additional valuable tidbit of information. I would imagine calling the telephone numbers on the photos would do the trick. Cheers!
  12. To round out the information on this thread the van departing from the Pattaya Tai location starts at 6:00 AM until 8:30 PM, here are a couple pictures as well: Using these vans has saved me a considerable amount of money and also makes it very simple to do a day trip to Bangkok from Pattaya without spending a couple thousand baht in transportation costs. Also, these vans will generally stop for gas/petrol somewhere along the way which adds an extra 15 minutes to the journey. For those with extra luggage, you will need to buy an extra seat for your bag.
  13. Absolutely correct, I use the one in front of Family Mart on Pattaya Tai and it's 100 baht, leaves about every 30 minutes as well. I go to Bangkok at least once a month so for me this is a really good service as I live on Pattaya Tai. Additionally, you can take the above van to Victory Monument then take the BTS to Phaya Thai then connect to the Airport line and Suvarnabhumi Airport.

  15. Cheap Affordable Transport Bangkok to Pattaya Mini Van Service You grab an air conditioned van back to Pattaya from Bangkok at Victory Monument by taking the "Pattaya Van" service which can be found right around the corner from Exit 4 of the BTS Skytrain Victory Monument stop. The price to go to Pattaya is only 97 Baht and it takes you to Pattaya Tai Road near Tukcom and very close to Walking Street. They will drop you off anywhere along the way on Sukhumvit Road if you ask them. I highly recommend taking this service around 2:00 PM or so to avoid traffic in both Bangkok and Pattaya as the
  16. Hello my friend, thanks for the great write up on our burger, I highly recommend the Bacon Cheeseburger in Paradise. The Salsa is homemade with fresh vegetables purchased and delivered daily. Please stop by guys we've made several improvements and business has really picked up over the last half year. Look for lots of new menu additions, buffets and promotions in the very near future. Also there is 10% off for Pattaya Talk members, just mention you are a member to the cashier BEFORE ordering. 19. Being an American I was happy to see Carl's Jr on the 3rd Floor of Central Festival on the Beach Road side. I remember this restaurant chain tried and failed at it's first attempt in the 1990's in Bangkok. I have to say I was pleased with the consistency as ordered the Western Bacon Cheeseburger and it was spot on. The price for the combo was 235 Baht not bad. The only thing different is the fries in the US are crinkle version if I remember correctly. Anyway, they make a good burger I hope they stay around a while. Here's some photos:
  20. Hello gentleman thanks for any constructive criticism good or bad. To be quite honest with you that particular sandwich along with the French dip are some of our best selling non Mexican items along with the Ribs. I don't know how that Hunt's got into the picture but we only use Heinz American Catsup and Tomato Sauce (for the Thais). In any event, this is being looked into and your feedback is much appreciated and valued tremendously. Thanks!
  21. It's perfect for that as a matter of fact. Decent prices at the snack bar as well. Classic shot talk about pulling one out of the bag!
  22. Recently I had to pleasure to visit a placed called Mini Siam located on Sukhumvit Road in Bang Lamung North Pattaya near the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. This amazing little known theme park (Except by people on tours) is a great place to take an hour or so and check out some really cool exhibits from all over the World. It cost 300 Baht ($10 USD) for admission or 100 Baht for a Thai national, more known as the typical Thai pricing structure. The whole place is laid out with all International exhibits in the front side of the park while all the historical icons in Thailand's history is locat
