  1. On weekdays you could take the train from Bangkok to Pattaya. See timetable below. I think the fare is less than 50 baht. http://www.railway.co.th/English/Time_PDF.asp
  2. I just go to the dental department at Bumrungrad hospital. The very best in my opinion.
  3. Dear Rob, I'm surprised to find this here. Usually a post on this subject is in the airline section. Anyway I took this route last year and I liked it. Nonstop JFK to BKK is the only way to go for me from now on. I was in coach, but the seat pitch was 4 or 5 inches more than other airlines, so the trip was delightful. I'm enclosing two links for you. One is a very good trip report. http://www.seatexpert.com/_TG_3452.html http://www.airliners.net/discussions/trip_...ead.main/66638/ Have a good trip, Jack

  7. You don't say where you are based. So many members are based in Europe. If you are based in the US, there is only one agent that can match or beat the airline sites, and that is Angel Travel. http://www.angeltravel.com/ Jack
  8. A couple of years ago my local airline, USAirways, joined the Star Alliance. I have about 25000 miles in my USAir account. I'm planning to take TG791/790, the non stop to BKK this fall. How do I combine the miles I will get for this flight with the miles that I already have? Will Thai Air credit my miles to my USAir account? Any advise will be appreciated. Jack
  9. I thought this was pretty funny, since this is the flight I usually take to BKK. I can't imagine what the cabin PA anouncement was when the EVA plane didn't land, but just circled. Jack
  10. Here is an interesting flash presentation for all you Singapore Airlines fans. http://www.usatoday.com/travel/gsingaporeg...girls/flash.htm
  11. To All, I came across this web site that might be of interest to long haul flyers. Looking at the pictures makes me hungry. http://www.airlinemeals.net/ Jack
