  1. By Raf Casert, AP Sports Writer CAPE TOWN, South Africa — Very few people know exactly what an angry fan told David Beckham and some of the England football players after strolling into their dressing room following the 0-0 draw with Algeria at the World Cup. But plenty of others know what they'd like to have said to the England team. In an incident heading straight for football folklore, a man got past security and into the dressing room, said what he had to say, and then was escorted from the stadium by a local organizing committee official. Police are now investigating. The incident set off reaction from disillusioned fans following England's poor performance. "I know what I would have said," says Alan Wright, a dedicated England fan since the 1966 World Cup.
  2. Yes I realize that-that's why I didn't include them.I included teams that will never qualify.Bahrain,Qatar,Uzbekistan.Hence the auto qualify every 4 years. And to show how poorly Japan has been in the WC held outside their own country in '02,they had yet to win a match until now.Or was that Korea?I'm old and can't remember.Soccer has been in a downward spiral since '02 when they were the host nations.
  3. Like Ian Darke or another UK commentator said during the ESPN WC broadcast yesterday, too bad the WC wasn't played in '09 instead for UK as they were in fine form then. But it seems several WC teams have continued their qualifying quality,or lack thereof, into the WC,like FrOnce, Mexico,Holland,Brazil, ect.
  4. Like you said,he won't change tactics or formation but he BETTER change his players.
  5. Huskie was included because he was His Highness Rooney's choice up front-what Rooney wants,Rooney gets. Now that that experiment is over,we'll see Crouch start next week-hopefully.That was in the papers, online,on TV,even here in the non-soccer netherworldworld. The #2 player in the PL has been an empty kit for all but 20 minutes or so."Kit" means uniform to those outside UK.
  6. Thanks for my new signature line Joe: "Never in the field of World Cup Conflict has so little been offered by so few to so many". Great pic of His Highness looking down, thinking,"I don't deserve this #10.
  7. True Tom,but we're in a automatic qualifying group, like Australia. But unlike Australia's group, other teams from our group have actually qualified for the WC. Bahrain Qatar Uzbekistan
  8. Wow,a fresh headline from a week ago. Thanks for that. No,I believe it's a save Britain again at all costs mentality, but I've stooped to answer your slur.
  9. Did UK move up 3 places since the WC started? They are #8.WE NEVER said we were good and if you'd followed my WC posts,my opinion once again is the US is not a good team, but a team on a long, slow downward spiral. We have 2 good players,Dempsey and Donovan, and an excellent keeper in Howard. But then again,he's our #2 behind Brad Friedel. Most UK supporters fully expected at least a QF round,if not more.
  10. Agree totally. But after watching ESPN 360 AXIS,there were 2 other card fouls on that disallowed goal,so yes,he had blown the whistle as soon as the ball was struck. On 360 AXIS,every player was shown from any angle and there were no fouls and certainly no offsides.
  11. How old are you cardigan?Maybe if you'd stayed awake during geography class you'd know that Africa is indeed called the Dark Continent. So thanks again and I REPEAT for showing YOUR ignorance. Typical ACLU clown.
  12. And to think Crapello didn't sub his highness in the 2nd half. The 2nd best player in the Premier League has been an empty uniform for roughly 160 of 180 minutes so far.I guess if he can't cuss or swear at a referee he can't play. But you hit it on the head joe and group of stars doesn't make a TEAM.

  14. Not only did he disallow the goal but totally missed Michael Bradley pulled to the ground with a bear hug in the box. And 10 minutes earlier on the Altidore breakaway, not giving a red card as he was the last man. Soccer rules are simple enough for everyone to understand but apparently too difficult for this INGRATE! And yes,I understand FIFA has to have referees from every continent,(why)not to show prejudice, but if he's one of the best on that continent, how sad.The referees for the biggest tournament in the world should be chosen from the most competent worldwide, not to appease...........those "what about us" clowns. Granted,we are a team on a long, slow, downward spiral as I posted 10 days ago,but to be robbed by this clown is inexcusable. He should be banned from further matches but he won't be because.....wait for it.....HE'S FROM AFRICA! When a referee's decision directly affects the direction of a match and the World Cup,he needs to be banned from further matches. Mali referee Koman and his family.
  15. EVERETT, Wash., June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Boeing (NYSE:BA - News) 787 Dreamliner flight test fleet passed 1,000 hours of testing yesterday. The program estimates that it is about 40 percent through the test conditions required to certify the first version of the all-new jetliner. "More work remains but we are seeing excellent progress in flight test," said Scott Fancher, vice president and general manager of the 787 program for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "Even more important than the hours we've logged are the test conditions we have completed. The team is being very efficient in getting the data we need." "It's also important to note that we are making solid progress on the ground testing required on the flight test fleet as well," Fancher said. Follow the progress of 787 flight test at http://787flighttest.com.
  16. Boeing Completes First Flight of GE-Powered 787-Dreamliner-the fastest-selling new commercial jetliner in history. EVERETT, Wash., June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The first Boeing (NYSE:BA - News) 787 Dreamliner with General Electric (GE) engines, the airplane referred to as ZA005, completed its first flight at 6:29 p.m. (Pacific time) today, following a 3-hour-and-48-minute flight over the state of Washington. GE executives and Boeing employees were on hand to welcome Captains Mike Bryan and Mike Carriker to Boeing Field in Seattle following completion of the flight. "The airplane handled just like I expected," said Bryan, who captained the flight. "It was just like every other 787 flight that I've flown in the last several months – smooth, per plan and excellent." "We're pleased to introduce the fifth Dreamliner to the flight-test fleet and to start flight testing with GE engines," said Scott Fancher, vice president and general manager of the 787 program for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "It's taken the collective resources and dedication of our teams to get to this day. There's just nothing like a first flight to validate that it has been worth the sacrifices we have all seen our teams make in the past several years." ZA005 will be used to test the General Electric engine package and demonstrate that the changes made with the new engine do not change the airplane's handling characteristics. The sixth, and final, 787 to join the flight test program is expected to fly before the end of July. About the 787 Dreamliner The 787 Dreamliner is an all-new twinjet designed to meet the needs of airlines around the world in providing nonstop service between mid-size cities with new levels of efficiency. The airplane will bring improved levels of comfort to passengers with larger windows, bigger baggage bins and advances in the cabin environment, including lower cabin altitude, higher humidity and cleaner air. Delivery of the first 787 is planned for the fourth quarter of 2010. Fifty-six customers around the world have ordered 860 787s since the program was launched in April 2004, making the Dreamliner the fastest-selling new commercial jetliner in history.
  17. Your 1st responsibility is to ALWAYS protect the short side/near post.It was a great shot.
  18. sorry-double post
  19. Because E-mail Huskey is Wonder Boy's preferred partner, the 2nd best player of the year in PL,after Drogba. BTW,it WAS a late challenge on Howard-fuck that 50/50 bullshit-he got there AFTER the ball was cleared.
  20. Not funny. Are you really an American or just using that flag to embarass the rest of us?Classless. Lowering myself to your level, too bad you weren't on the Deepwater Horizon or the Cheonan. And the next time you need help locating a previous rental/barfine,don't count on me again.
  21. by Communist 'keeper. Giving up a short side goal from the endline or roughly 3 degrees from endline is a howler but Communists played well and frustrated Samba Kings for an hour or so.
  22. Boeing Co. said Tuesday it plans to boost production of its 737 jet to meet continued demand. The Chicago-based aerospace giant (NYSE: BA) said it would take production from 34 per month to 35 per month in early 2012. Full press release below: SEATTLE, June 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) today announced a second production rate increase on the Next-Generation 737 program, taking the rate from the previously announced 34 airplanes per month to 35 in early 2012. In May, Boeing cited continued strong demand for the Next-Generation 737 as reason to ramp-up production from 31.5 to 34 airplanes per month and indicated plans to study further increases. Today's announcement acknowledges the anticipated long-term growth in this market segment and the continued pressure to raise airplane output to match expected market demand. "Our customers continue to show their preference for the Next-Generation 737 by exercising order options as well as by placing new orders," said Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Jim Albaugh. "We've managed our current backlog efficiently and increasing rate is the product of our comprehensive planning and preparation. We will continue to monitor demand as we go forward." Boeing and its suppliers will prepare for the rate increase over the next 18 months, assessing readiness and ensuring an orderly ramp-up from the current 31.5 airplanes per month. The rate increase is not expected to have a material impact on 2010 financial results. The Next-Generation 737 program continues to innovate in the areas of improved navigation, performance and passenger comfort. The program will deliver its first 737 Boeing Sky Interior in October and is progressing with its implementation of a package of performance improvements by early 2012 that are expected to reduce fuel consumption by 2 percent.
  23. What does "room was computer" mean in OP?
  24. The vulva-zulus must not be allowed in Brazil in '14.But I see them there anyway as a large percentage of locals have a certain heritage.......doesn't bother me on TV but it'd dampen my enthusiasm if I was there.
  25. I'd never steer an Aussie sideways. If you still feel compelled to pay,Eset Nod 32 is the best for money a/v software-small footprint and haven't felt my system slowed at all (very subjective I know).
