Did someone say MBK?? -
Seems that me and Photobucket have some kind of disagreement or something, but all the photos i have postyed over the past week from this holiday have been deleted, so ive had to re-upload them all over again. I apologise for the lack of photos in my other threads. When i get time, i will repost the photos for all to see and enjoy. Anyway, these are the photos from my last day in Sukhothai, from what they call the Northern Area, and in particular Wat Si Chum. Entrance to this Wat is 100 baht, no sneeking in for free here........................

Skybar@Lebua State Tower, Bangkok. Great views up here....

You have got to try it at least once in your life. It has amazing views up there, and i think for the price of 1 drink, its worth it. But remember, you dont actually have to buy a drink there, you can just gom up there and take some photos and then head back down. No need to buy any drinks! -

Thai Thai Guesthouse, Sukhothai.

Yeah, i really liked that touch. -
My next stop on my tour of Thailand, was to the old ruined city of Sukhothai. Here i stayed at the Thai Thai Guesthouse, located just out side the old city walls. Managed to book this guesthouse through www.booking.com, for 1000 baht a night, buffet breakfast included. The brekkie was nothing special, couple of different rice dishes, lots of fresh fruits, cereal, fried eggs and plenty of fried bacon. Tea's, coffee and juices galore. My room was located on the 2nd floor of the main guesthouse area, but they seem to have around 10-12 other bungalow's that they rent out too, all for the same price. Staff seem to consist of 2 women, and a young lad, and english is pretty non-existant, but sign langauge and hand signals seem to get the job done. There is free wifi, the fastest ive had in Thailand. I speedtested it at a massive 15meg, and that was a consistant speed throughout my stay. I never realised that they were sooooooo many different thai langauge tv channels. The tv went up to 229 thai channels, before a couple of other foreign langauge channels, but not a single english channel to be found, including BBC world news, or the ever popular Austrailian network. Rooms were really nice, nice strong AC, fridge and a couple of bottles of water. A bike is needed to tour around the ruins, plenty of options inside the city, or the guesthouse rent them out for 50 baht a day. Not the best qualilty bikes, but they did the trick.

Honestly, i thought it would of been alot busier, if not at least bigger than what i saw.!!! Still, a nice little station, and it seemed fairly clean inside and outside.

Hell no!!!! Have you seen the prices.!! -
Amazing views from the top of here, i love it. The bar doesnt open until 6pm, and they wont let you up in the lift until that time. There is a dress code also to get up there, you have to be smart casual(no shorts/singlets/flip flops/ruck sacks etc). Drinks are not cheap at all. I was recommended the Hangovertini, which i tried(whiskey, martini, some other liquer and green tea). Price on the drinks menu was 490 baht, so thought i would try it out. When the bill turns up, 10% service charge and 7% tax was added on top, taking the price for 1 drink to 576 baht, so none too cheap. But for the expericence, its well worth popping up there. Enjoy the views..............

The plan was to walk all the way to On Nut, but a combination of the sun and the heat forced me to stop at Ekamai and catch the skytrain back to Silom. Please enjoy my walk and photos.....................

Well, have staying 2 nights on Sukhumvit road, I checked out of there and moved on to the Triple 222 hotel, on Silom road. It call itself a businessmans hotel, rather than a tourist hotel. I booked this hotel through www.booking.com, at a cost 2,333 baht a night. Rooms are beautifully laid out, with lots of floor space. Huge bathroom with a large walkin shower and a large sized bath tub. Free wifi of 5meg. TV with the usual channels again, DVD player( they have a huge list of nearly 1000 DVDs you can borrow from reception). There is a swimming pool and gym at their sister hotel, the Narai hotel, located right next door. There is also a bar and restaurant located at the front of the hotel. Beer and drinks are very reasonably priced, as is the food too. No joiner fee here, but they will take the girls ID card and call you in the morning. A good security feature here is that the hotels front door is always locked, and can only be opened with your key card( or press the buzzer, and security will check you out and let you in). Situated towards the bottom end of Silom road, it's a short 5 minute walk to Chong Nonsi sky train station. Would I stay here again, hell yes. I really liked this hotel, and feel its well worth the money.

For my first 2 nights of my stay in Bangkok, I stayed here at the city lodge hotel. The hotel is located on the very corner of soi 9 on Sukhumvit road, right in front of Nana sky train station. Cost me 999 baht a night, for room only. View from this room was from the back of the hotel, but you have to be careful, as I've had a room at the front before and all the view was of the platform of Nana sky train station. The TV has all the usual channels, the usual free 2 bottles of water, and free wifi.( only 2meg, so only really good enough for standard surfing. No joiner fee here, but they do take the girls ID and call you in the morning to make sure everything is ok. Considering its location, slap bang in between Nana and soi cowboy, it's not too bad considering it's cost.
