  1. Fraser’s today’s black plate menu: Roasted lamb This menu available only today, so I can’t miss it, despite I had different plans. A huge plate arrived with the generous amount of the ingredients... I simple liked the view. The lamb was made from a fattier part of the animal and I liked it, more fatty, more lamb aromat. But sadly not. It was OK, but I don’t felt the real srong aromat, instead it was at some parts a bit chewy. However still good, I can recommend. The new discover was for me the mint sauce, on the pictures hide behind the cauliflower cheese plate. The mint sauce added a sensational special taste for the veggies – I can only hope, I used it properly, but I liked it on this way - which were crispy as I like it... and a little bit cold. ( No problem, the weather is hot ) The roast potatoes were just perfect ( Not, not overcooked, just crispy and fine ) The cauliflower cheese was a great add, crispy cheese on the top, the cauliflower in creamy sauce. Very friendly 295 baht Tonic: 40 baht Verdict: A good meal, great value, despite of the small deficiencies.. Recommended... 8/10
  2. I tried a few times... the beef steaks are unedible shoe soles, left all on the plate, the pork steaks almost the same... the chicken steak is fine, but chicken and steak together to mention ??? I went there because my beloved russian borsch on the menu, but it was a disappointment, it was cold and poor.... On the other sides, the thai foods were Ok...
  3. " Like their Italian cousin pizza, calzoni (plural of calzone) originated in Naples, Italy during the 18th century. Translated to "pant leg" or "trouser," the calzone's original purpose was to serve as a "walk around pizza." This Italian style turnover is created by folding a full size pizza in half. When correctly prepared, the calzone's outer crust is baked to crispy perfection while the inside filling contains a warm, gooey blend of ricotta and mozzarella cheeses along side an assortment of hearty meats and vegetables. The pizza dough like crust of calzones, traditionally make with yeast, olive oil, water, flour, and salt, makes them wonderfully portable. Calzoni, not to be confused with a similar Italian filled oven bread, panzzarotti, are always baked while their Italian cousin are similarly prepared, but deep fried. The original calzoni of Naples, were most likely much smaller than the modern calzones seen in American restaurants today, because the pizzas created in 18th century Italy were for a single person to enjoy. It is customary in America to top calzones with a blend of garlic, olive oil, and parsley and to serve alongside marinara sauce for dipping. Modern calzones grew widely popular after their appearance in the popular TV series "Seinfeld" in 1996 and, more recently, in the hit series "Parks and Recreation" in 2014. " http://thecalzonezone.weebly.com/history.html
  4. And it isn't... Calzone is a pizza folded in half, to put inside the usual toppings.
  5. Food vs meal... Food is a plate, meal is a complex experience.... let see the " Deli " at the TuckCom... meal, but... looks poor, simple food, small portions...no any special I would pay the farang tax... And anyway... you are right... I was too sharp.... but if you see the restaurants offers something special, worth the farang tax... hardly under 300 baht...
  6. The " wagyu " beef in Pattaya sounds me the same like the " model ladydrinks "... BTW.... mince the real " wagyu beef " for a burger...at this moment lost the " wagyu beef " his vantages... a simple cheat to collect more money from the snobs...
  7. Again a huge piece of meal on the table... at this time without a separate plate. This calzone a heavier version of the Chicken fajita calzone. Instead of the chicken chunks minced beef. Apart from the fajita’s onion, bell pepper, huge portion cheese also added olive pieces and fresh tomato slices. It was tasty, juicy and fantastic... again, I don’t even touched the tomato based sauce with fine herbes was served with the calzone .... it was perfect as it was. ( No matter, the sauce was also very fine ) 300 baht ( 210 with the 30% EatIgo discount ) Small soda: 35 baht. Verdict: I found out, I like much more the calzone, than the open pizzas... the filling is much more succulent , than on an open pizza. A good discover. Not for my diet... I almost exploded after eating this monster. 9/10 ( the cheese was poured unevenly, in some bites only the ragout, in some bites only cheese )
  8. Yep... if I'm still hungry following the so called quality meal... no matter of the quality, I'm still cheated... BTW... I look for quality meal to fill my stomach for reasonable prices... And I'm a small guy with no wolf appetite... the " giga beef pie " I had in the Fraser's ( see my report ) made me totally full was only an appetizer for my english mate.... he isn't a big guy either.... If I say it was a small portion, you can believe me... it was...
  9. It was me... if you see my restaurant reports, mostly under 300 baht and usually good quality, great foods... I meant : meal, not food or plate... I meant a few courses and a drink... Burgers , pizzas, fish and chips, poorly served spaghettis, minced meats on the mash, english brekkies etc. are great foods, plates but not meals.... Yesss, Aroi looks great value, but far away from the areas the tourists goes... probably a great choice for the expats, who drive.... Please let me know where can I find a lamb shank, a roasted lamb, a quality beef steak etc... under 300 ( meal... not plate ) Even the Deli next to TuckCom offers the 3-4 course for 300 baht, the food looks poor and one soda.... oops... over 300 baht... The " meatballs with mashed potatoes and lingonberry " and the " Fried pork belly on a potato pancake, also with lingonberry sauce " looks more an appetizer, than a meal....

    Bite Me!

Looks like a very fine food... but still only a small portion snack....not a meal....smaller, than the fork...
  11. Only on this week... and lunch. Between 11 am and 4 pm...
  12. Fraser's 'Wagyu Beef Pie' I thought, in this heat a snack will be enough, decided to visit the Tinnies... but I saw on the FB the new Frazer’s weekly luch menu... Looked good, priced good... why not ? A snack.... What the hell ??? A jumbo, mega pie arrived on the table, cca 3-4 bigger, than the Tinnies true, slightly thinner. The pastry was simple perfect, 10/10, crispy outside, soft inside... a dream... The filling was really generous with the beef, the sauce was fine... however if it is cooked slowly, I would add some more time for the beef... but no any moans, it was good. The french fries were hand made, not deep frozen and crispy... tasty, all good, couldn’t be better... The gravy was fine, but I don’t used it, it would add no more delight to the meal, only some extra salt and I eat with very small amount of salt. The pie was really good without it. A side note... I would be more happy with the meal if instead of the perfect french fries there would be an option to choose some veggies or some kind of salad... I thought – following a few posts in my Tinnies report – the veggies / salad with the pie is a sacrilege for the british people... Talking with a british guy around the pool following my lunch – he speaking the english I can understand grin hangulatjel – he told me it isn’t true, in the UK it is very common to serve the pies with salad or veggies... I don’t know, but I would like it more on this way... Anyway, I left more, than the half portion of the french fries on the plate, the pie was so big... Verdict: A very fine food I liked very much, I can only recommend it... and a mega value.... 225 baht including a free beer or a soft drink.
  13. I decided, finally to try the POR’s pizza, despite some people warned me, it’s not the thin and crispy pizza... ( Originally I planned to try the taco pizza, but I was a cretin, mixed the taco with the fajita... ) The very first impression: It is huge. ( and it was, I visited yesterday at 2pm the restaurant and at 10 pm I still felt full ) And it was crispy too... Filled with chicken, onion and bell pepper... some garlic sauce ( unnoticable ) and.... a lot of fine mozzarella cheese.... Some may say it was a bit tasteless, but I liked on this way, only the natural tastes. For those, who like like the more charasteristic tastes the jar was available with plentiful tomato based pizza sauce with fine herbs... I tried the calzone with it too, but I liked more the natural way. Only one small crtiticism: On the end of the calzone the filling is finished. Verdict: I liked it very much... I will be back to try the taco calzone... 199 baht with the Eatigo 30% discount... great value. Highly recommended.... even without the eatigo discount, if you aren't a member...
  14. Chatting with the owner about girls and other deep themes about the life, he was so kind to offer me a menu... Hmm, great idea, why not ? For the first course he offered.... WHAT ??? Deathwish... Hungarian goulash soup... For me, the little hungarian, who don’t know any jokes about the goulash soup. For the first sight it was a really authentic hungarian goulash soup. Following the first bite I understood, now I’m sitting in a fine dine restaurant, all ingredients were cut for very small pieces.... No any problems with it, any hungarian fine dine restaurant would do the same. What is more important, the soup was thick and full with meat and the proper ingredients. I would miss out only the local bell pepper... Yes, I know the hungarian bell pepper makes it thicker, but they are two different things... Anyway a nice effort to be authentic, because the kind of hungarian bell pepper simple not available here. It was a really great and tasty soup... Only one cricitism: The slightly sourish taste remembered me the over use the tomato or maybe tomato cream, which is killed the taste of the sweet paprika powder... if there was any... I can’t say, but the soup was red colour as it must be. The bread was fine, fresh and good quality... However, instead of the butter I would serve fresh chilli cuts, as we do in Hungary. Following the goulash soup we eat only some pancakes or desserts, because it is a real belly filler, like this soup was too... And then arrived the huge portion „ Avocado fries with lemon Mayo, salsa & cocktail dipping sauces „ It was a really exciting experience I never tried before... It was marvelous and striking... The „ coat „ on the avocado was crispy and something different, I really liked. The dipping sauces were simple perfect, my favourite was the lemon mayo... and the two things together ( fried avocado and the sauce ) made an enjoyable taste experience... I’m sure, I will share this recipe back home to harvest some congratulations. ( I’m sure, it will be just a pale copy... But the concept ! ) At this time I was already full... and the „Pork Saltimbocca rice Ball „ landed in front of me... I made a smoke interval to attack this food... and I lamented... Pork Saltimbocca ... what a noble name for a piece of fried pork with a piece of ham on it... ( googled it... it was really a nice piece of „Pork Saltimbocca „ ) The pork was a piece of fried pork, the ham was quality, a very nice work... it couldn’t be better in the simplicity of the food under the rotund name... But the rice ball, yesss... it was something special under the modest name... what a great concept, generous with the ingredients... crispy outside, soft inside...and softer in the middle, the melted mozzarella... However I would be more brave with the spices to give more character to the rice ball or to choose a more characteristic type of cheese... to dominate the whole experience... We like the mozzarella, but not because of it’s strong taste... I had the same problem with the generous portion of the mixed salad ( the big positive: farang tomatoes, not the crap thai version ) around the food... I saw, it was sprinkled with some olive oil based dressing... but no any strong taste to make the salad something special... OK... I know... I like the strong tastes and the peasant foods... not a fine dine customer... Something to add... I hate the fine dine concept, because the nice serving hide the lack of the materials served on the plate... Not in this case... The meals were served like work of arts, it was simple good to look on the plates... and every plate was a very good portion.... In the menu was included a small soda... ( ice and lime slices as it must be ) Verdict: It was a really nice experience, great and creative concepts.... still feel full at 10:07 pm.... Very, very friendly 336 baht ( I still thinking... why not 335 or 330 or 340 ? )
  15. Walking back home from Jomtien Sauna last week I noticed this restaurant on the way... Their menu very similar to the Cedar in the Central festival, but more extented... For example three different kind of the „ Hummus + meat „ option... One with beef ( The photo looks like the same in the Cedar menu, but they told me it is lamb... and I don’t felt the lamb taste, maybe because it was too dry ... ) one with beef shwarma and one with chicken shwarma... My original plan was to try the hummus + chicken shwarma ( 220 baht ) ... chicken is cheap, maybe the final result will be a main meal... or a hummus + labaneh combo with pita... ( also 220 baht with 2 pita ) But oopss.... something much more exciting....a set menu... I simple like the set menus... or the flagship meals... The set menus, because I can’t be wrong ( yes I was in the real India ) the chef assort the meals fit together... and usually sold for bargain prices... My bad.. If I don’t see any set daily menu on the offers advertised on the street board I don’t even bother to see the menu... too lazy or what ? When a restaurant offers cheap beer / alcoholic drinks instead of the set menu I just run away...and fast... The flagship meals may be the most expensive items, but they are the meals the chefs like to brag about... so it will be made with attention... So.. in this case the set menu was: Hummus, two lebanese bread ( pita ) salad, kebap and a soft drink... 300 baht. Let’s try it.... I asked the waitress, what kind of meat the kebap ? No clue... just an empty stare on me... The good news, she asked the arab guy to talk with me... His honest reply was: It is a mix, chicken, beef and lamb.... The hummus with the hot pitas arrived very soon with the cola ( the glass was full with ice ) The pitas were very good ( but not excellent like in the Cedar ), the hummus was very good ( but not excellent like in the Cedar ) The salad plate: fresh tomatoe slices, pickled cucumber ( a little bit too salty for me, but this means nothing , I hate the salt and eating everything saltless... ) ... and a very nice add: a few piece of pickled chillies... the long ones... And the kebabs landed on the table... generous portion, a small piece pita on the top with some sauce and a heap of sliced onions with some green ingredients...added a lot for the experience... The kebaps were perfect... in some bites I felt the taste of the lamb, in some other bites not... so the arab guy was honest... All in all a very good experience... ( the french fries were fresh, crispy and perfect ) My only complain was, no any special sauce for the kebap... It was a dry meat ( as it must be ) and the only one offered sauce for it was the bottled Heinz ketchup... I’m familiar with the same type kebaps ( because of my Uzbek mates in the university... there should be some special kebap sauce ) The extra soda water ( because of the dry kebap without any sauce ) : 20 baht Verdict: Very good value and very good food, but not excellent... I will be happy to return with my own georgian ( not the US Georgia ) kebap sauce sitting in my fridge... ( A georgian mate gave me ) PS: Priceless experience to sit in a beach side restaurant, feeling the sea breeze.... Ok... the Beach road is between us, but sill good.... The staff really made their best efforts to serve me....

    Bite Me!

Bite Me: Slowly cooked lamb with mint leafs and gnocci. Nice restaurant with stylish decor, true minimalist... In the firs minute I was surprised about the limited menu... But a few minutes later understand the reason: The chef personally prepare every plate with high attention, like an artist... and yes, the food on the plate is simple handcraft. My lamb food: For the first sight I don’t knew if the plate was too big or the portion small.... Looking on it in front of me on the table, the portion looked OK... And... the first disappointment: There were only meat chips, not a piece of lamb. OK, ok... I know nowadays trendy the „ pulled meat „ concept, which may be OK with pork or chicken, but not with lamb... ( Reminds me the russian food: caviar in pancakes... waste the caviar in fatty dough ) It was slowly cooked in wine... so the wine dominated the food, the taste of the lamb lost in the process. The gnocci was fine, soft and just right. And the second disappointment: I finished my food surprisingly fast, whilst my friends don’t ate the half of their food... and suddenly realized over the empty plate: I’m still hungry. ( 320 baht ) I tasted my friend’s food too. The chicken food was really delicious, a strange, but very nice concept accompanied with polenta what is an eastern european heavy, peasant food, but in this case it was made very light and fine. Probably the reason, my friend also moaned about the minimalist style of the portion. ( 200 something ) The steak was simple perfect and huge. It was ordered „ well done „ and still tender... I must to mention a side taste ( maybe some marinade ? ) on the surface of the meat, what was an unique and fabulous, something similar tasted in the Caucasus. Served also with the fine polenta. The steak sauce was also very good. ( 480 baht ) I red here, the Sweet spot now cooperate with the bistro, so I was surprised to see only the 3 different desserts. The dessert: Chockolate lava. It was a masterpiece... The hot chocolate in the crispy cover combined with the sourish sauce and the sourish berries... simple perfect. However... the thai girl with us talked something with the thai waitress and told me, it is big, let”s eat one together. The word big is a baroque exaggeration, it would be small for me alone. ( 120 baht ) Small soda: 25 baht Verdict: My food was probably a tragic mistake by the concept... at least for my very own and biased taste. The other foods were fine and tasty... something special and good, but... Ok, I know, I know this place is to to gobble like a pig, but if I need to eat a half bar chocholate with a half bottle Fanta at home following a main and a half dessert... Whatever....
  17. Thank you for the reply... No... it wasn't crispy, just hard... any ideas what was the stuffing in my case ?
  18. I planned already long times ago to try the „ Yorkshire pudding „ ... what is looking on the pictures obviously not a pudding as I know, the desert jelly... I flirted with the idea long times with the Sportmans lamb roast and today arrived the day... I just flirted with the idea, because I knew the aftermaths.... I will tell you later... So... the Yorkshire pudding... Writing this I must to say, I was a Yorkshire pudding virgin until today...so I don’t know if it was good or not, just my impressions... It was a disappointment for me, the dough was hard for my taste - I could imagine it soft and for a sweet dessert meal - the delicious stuffing I can’t recognise what it was, but tasted really good made the thing so heavy I would call it an oversized appetizer or even a light main meal... but no way a garnish or side dish... The roasted lamb... Following the very first bite I almost started to cry because of my happiness... The strong, unmistakable taste of the genuine LAMB.... In Hungary our stupid traditions makes all possible cooking tricks to avoid it...( holding the meat in milk for days as one of them ) and our lambs are crap anyway... The taste I witnessed last time decades ago in London...and I can die for it.... It was like to meet an old lover, being me older, but she is still 19 year old.... The pure excellence... The sauce ( gravy ? ) was also excellent... not too intrusive, but adding some extra to the whole experience....the perfect company to the meal, the great potato thing swam in it and no one drops on the plate when I finished my meal.... The huge portion veggies were just right for my taste, a great addition... crispy, fresh and absolutely not overcooked.... All in all, the portion was simple huge including the portion of the meat.... I left on my plate one potato thing, 3 piece of veggies and most of the yorkshire pudding ... and I was full, hard to move... And here, why I hesitated to try this menu so long... Wednesday is my movie day and I like some chocholates to chew , Fanta orange in the movie... but following this food no one cubic millimetres free in my stomach.... Verdict: I write it with trembling hands... I never do... 10/10... No matter my disappointed experience with the Yorkshire pudding... even without it 10/10.... 320 baht, really high value... I can only whole heartly recommend... The good news: Not only a „ dinner” food... it was my lunch ...and on the daily menu.... The soda water was large bottle but on the very high side: 45 baht... And the final terrorist attack against me.... Darren bragged about his new curry food and served me a degustation plate... like a full meal in many other places.... Despite I was already knocked out it still tasted great..... and I ate 5 bites instead of the one I should... The actual movie was cancelled, I had to walk 40 minutes to be ready to see the movie..
  19. Armenia on Jomtien: Borsch and chicken kebab Amit Kulkarni ( a very popular chef on the FB ) recommended the place, so I had high exceptations... But sadly the bad overture, no ice in the glass. ( not to mention the slice of lime ) Asked the service girl for ice and the shocking reply: „ Solly, no hab ice. „ Ouch... true, the small bottle soda was 25 baht. The borsch was the opposite experience... It was an almost perfect borsch, I was simple thrilled to see the sour cream and the fresh dill on the top. Everything must be on the plate ( not only beetroot, but cabbage and potato ) I found in the soup... the bortsch must be made with beef, but in this soup the meat was pork, what isn’t a major fault and the quantity of the meat was enough... too pity, the pork was undercooked and hard. All in all, it was a pleasant taste adventure... ( 95 baht ) The chicken kebab arrived as I like it: wrapped. The pita was simple perfect for a kebab, handmade, ligt, delicious..... but hey... it is totally cold. I mentioned it to the service girl, who just stared on me with a grin... The first bite... a cold bite... The second bite... now I felt some hot ingredients, the grilled, tender and delicious chicken cubes in some really well made sauce, simple tasted good. Personally I like the many vegetables in the pita roll, but IMO anyway, must to dominate the meaty part... not in this case. All in all I liked the kebab, despite of the insufficiencies.... IF it was made properly, by the original concept, I would say: one of the best chicken kebab I had... But sadly I can’t say it today. ( 75 baht ) Verdict: I have mixed feelings.... the original concept is excellent, but the implementation... how to say ? Not so.... One word comes to my mind: remissness....

  20. It is easter time so must to eat smoked meat and eggs with the traditional garnishes. My choice was the half kilo boneless smoked and cooked pork knuckle. Yes I know, many gourmets would choose other parts of the pork, less fatty, no skins etc. but I like especially this part of the pork. The pork on my plate was almost perfect, as I like it... thin fat, trembly skin, juicy and tender meat. However I had a big battle with the chef, he wanted to serve the knuckle thin sliced as the chefs in the cilivized world serve a food like this. I denied it and I had several reasons... I like it in this neandhertal style, beacuse we may serve it as we want but it is a peasant food and have to eat accordingly... Hm... and my other reason was simple practical, I knew I can’t eat it it all, so I wanted the rest in a doggy bag and the thin slices very soon lose the juiciness, it become dry. The boiled eggs were a big disappointment. Ok, I know the tradition says only boiled eggs... but anyway... probably only an extra 4 minute work to create some devils eggs. I see it as the laziness or the unimaginative attitude of the chef. ( Well I saw some signs of a heavy hangover following a long night on the chef ) Ok, I know, the traditon says only radish ( BTW NOT beer radish, but spring radish ) some spring onions would made better the meal. The mustard was Ok, imported as i like it, not the usual english or french mustard, which are more bitter and more spicy... and not the usual sourish flavor I like... ( OK, this is only my own problem, I socialized in Hungary... ) I can tell the same about the horseradish, as I like it in vinegar. Both of them were canned, not home made. My major problem with this meal was the bun... The cream cheese was Ok, good quality... but the bun was hard and dry. Probably the chef was again lazy to find a high quality bakery, just bought it in the next Tops express... Ok... I know, hard to find good quality bakery products in Thailand, but walking a few metres more, there is the Foodland, where the chef could find much better quality bakery. Verdict: Good, but far from the perfect. The smoked, cooked knuckle was simple the excellence, true the visual look was like dogfood... but it was my own fault. Anyway, not a big deal, it was a smoked item the chef bought ready... But I appreciate the trick, he cooked it one more hour to be perfect. I missed the spirit of the food...the chef just „ vomited „ all the ingredients on the plate.. Just a peasant food plate... But tasty...
  21. Yep...agree...
  22. Looking on this combo before, I found it „ interesting „ ... Burger and sandwich - I mean no bun, but bread - with ice cream shake... huhh... Looking on the menu, I found it much more colorful, than the hot dogs, many different sandwiches for reasonable prices. ( chicken parmaggiano, pulled pork etc ) I hesitated to order the philly steak sanwich... but only until the service girl told me: „ Beef same same hamburger „ Hm... an other interesting concept. So let see the weird menu. The ice cream shake arrived first. This fact was a huge mistake, because I had to wait 5-10 more minutes and I wanted to drink the shake with the „ burger sandwich „ as I think it was te concept.... Hope not the new concept, first the dessert and after the meal. However, maybe just the – very kind – service girl was pity on me, as it was very hot, I full in sweat and I denied to enter to the air con inside part of the restaurand, despite of her beg to chill down inside. I was prepared for a small sandwich and a milk shake. What a mistake. A huge meat patty – I never seen in my life such a huge one – top and down a slice ( cream, not real ) cheese between two toast made from quality brad. I like to eat this kind of suff with hands and it was a battle... The meat was tasty, jucy... simple good. I had a suspicion, it isn’t beef, but pork. ( Later the service girl confirmed it ) Again a patty don’t needed any sauce to add, it was fine as it was. Ok, a slurp from the huge jar shake... It was delicious, full of material... I dare to say heavy.... A great, valuable dessert.... but not a side drink. The two together was a little bit stifling at the beginning. Thanx for the heat, the ice cream slowly turned to a drink...anyway the generous portion whipped cream still wasn’t able to travel through the straw... ( Sorry, no photo... ) I was so full, I gave up my walk plans and immediately returned to the condo to collapse all the rest of the day at the swimming pool. Verdict: Obviously not fine dine item, it is what it is... For my taste still weird, but I liked it. Good value for the price: 199 baht PS: The owner on the FB posted: 1. It was beef 2. The philly sandwich is sliced beef, not minced...
  23. Sounded interesting the Friday special wagyu steak menu.... Must be good, so many simple gushing about the wagyu steak... Yes, I know there are no wonders in the life. I don’t know if it was wagyu or not, but it was thin, dry and almost hard... not too hard, but not tender. OK, I must to add I asked it well done and it wasn’t a regular brasilian or argentinian beef, just a simple wagyu, so it was my mistake too. The garlic mayo, worchester steak sauce was simple delicious and good portion. The potato au gratin was just right, altough a bit tasteless. The salad was fine, just too modest portion, like the really delicious balsamic dressing. 350 baht Verdict: It was ok, but far from the „ premium „ class. Anyway, observing their menu I found a few interesting offer, maybe the next time I will be luckier. The small bottle soda was 40 baht on the high side. Following the many flames ( only a lame loser order a steak " well done " ) in the FB I posted originally this report I decided to return... I felt my duty to go back to the Frazer’s because of the heated thread I posted a week ago... Because of your comments I learnt how to order a proper steak out from South America... ( In Hungary I have small experiences, the beef is ok to cook it for hours, but crap for the steak ) I planned to order the same Wagyu steak, but medium rare... But my bad, mea culpa, whilst waiting for the waitress to order I found something more exciting on the menu: The Wellington steak... I saw some times in the reports, but never tried myself.... Ok, I know I’m a ... I should be try the same steak... This steak obviously not the same category, because of the extra ingredients and still cheaper...( even than the Friday special ) maybe the next week... I liked what arrived on the plate... the Thick Cut Chips were fenomenal, freshly made, crunchy and tasty... It was a huge portion, I ate only the half of it.... the veggies were just right for my own taste, maybe too crispy for the others, but perfect for me.... And then I made my first mistake... I dropped some gravy on the steak... ( gravy is also a new thing to me to learn about ) The first bite was simple great, some wonderful tastes in my mouth... I thought, yesss... this gravy is something special... However I noticed, the gravy spoiled the pastry... it made it a sponge... Ok, the second bite without the gravy... and still the wondeful, still the new taste... Now the pastry was a dream, simple perfect for my taste...soft and a good add to the steak... and still the great, new taste... I anatomized the bite and found out the liver pate on the steak made this wonderful side taste... Then I started to thinking and used the gravy on the veggies and yes... I can only guess I made the right decision... it made better the veggies... not spoiled the pastry or the perfect Thick Cut Chips... All in all a great experience... However... because of the advices I ordered the steak „ medium rare „ ... and it looked like this... still dry and hard for my taste... not too much, just a little bit....but anyway... 325 baht... small soda 40 baht
  24. A dozen oyters costs 50-100 baht on the beach...
