Hi Jgarty, The majority of banks and travel agents in the uk will look in there little black books when you say you want t/cs for Thailand, and then recommend that you take them in Dollers! Dont do it !!! I have made this mistake twice and always get a worse exchange rate when over there. Sterling is best, preferably American Express Travellers Cheques, as these can be exchanged anywhere, as opposed to some such as 'Thomas Cook' or 'Marks & Spencer Bank' cheques. I have never found an agent that would NOT sell you a 1 way ticket to anywhere? I have just booked a 1 way ticket to BKK from Birmingham for £325 with Emirates (including tax). Hi Jack, Some friends of mine emigrated to Thailand earlier this year, and looked into the possibility of taking there cats with them from the UK. I am not too sure of the exact details, but I am sure that the cost was about 15,000 per cat, + a fee for the correct quarentine checks in Bangkok. Hi Majella, A bloke that I know returned from Thailand last week, he had flown with Royal Jordanian and said they were shit! Service on the plane was crap, and they ended up having an unexpected 7 hour stopover on the return journey in Amman? Is it really worth sacrificing a few quid more for this level of service?
