Hi, Too true. This is what is happening now. When highly skilled well paid jobs are exported the economy ends up with too many McJobs and too many people with no spending power. Credit replaced increased wages in America and results in massive private debt as well as the debt of Uncle Sam. Globalisation seems a good idea in theory, but in practice it only seems to work for the Elite. The rest of us are stuffed.

Hi, The end of the year and more or less half way in the Premiership. Chelsea continue to lead the way from Man Utd and Arsenal. Not a great league this year IMO as the credit crunch affects the quality of players. Man City should be in a strong position financially to prosper as they have money while most are cutting back budgets and some may go bust. Megson sacked by Bolton as fans seem to hate the guy. Liverpool struggle this year but seem the most likely club to get Arab money as they are a big Worldwide brand.
