Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

I just got a quote from Alex for 1660B. Has anyone else noticed his increase in prices? Redman

I'll be arriving into Don Muang airport on Sunday afternoon, April 11 and travelling to Pattaya. Anyone interested in sharing a taxi to Pattaya just message me at redmessage@angelfire.com. Redd

On last trip I purchased 5 DVD's. Three XXX and two regular movies. The XXX were excellent quality, the movies were crap. Got from Beach St. Redman

Where are the top soappy places?
redmessage replied to exwannabe's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
My last two visits have included a stop at Sabai massage (beach side of 2nd road). The girls have been stunning, excellent service, but they are developing a habit of asking for 1000B after I have paid 1500 to 1700 to desk. Are others finding this? Redman -
Internet connection at Sandy Springs?
redmessage replied to ramster's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I stayed at Sandy Spring last fall and was able to connect my laptop to internet using dial up with little problem. I used AOL and asked at the desk to make sure I was using a local number when I dialed in. Much better than some other hotels who limit time for local calls. Redman -
The Sofitel is a great hotel, especially for the 1350B. And for night time entertainment, there is a massage parlor about two blocks from there that is excellent. Just go out the front of the Sofitel, turn right on the street and walk about two blocks. You will find a shopping mall with a hotel (forget the name) just across the street. They have a MP in the hotel that is very good. Happy sanuk. Redman

I've stayed there recently, standard room, and it was very good. I'll stay there the next trip also. Redman

I log on to AOL from Pattaya on each trip. The earlier comments are correct: 1. Make sure the hotel charges local call per call, not per minute. 2. Make sure the AOL access number you dial is a local number. Just ask at the desk to be sure. 3. Some hotels, like Haven, cut off local calls after 10 minutes. Very distracting, the reason I don't stay there anymore. Otherwise, it works fine from the room. But watch out for 9.0 AOL, it's hard to slow down the modem speed to match the 28k connection from most Thai cities. Redman

I've got a room set for the Sandy Spring hotel on Soi 13 in July. Does any one have any experience with this new hotel? Quoted 1200B, good or bad? Thanks in advance. Redman
