  1. Agree with you there Mightyone. And to be fair he has given a realistic price equivalent compared to Alan's Agogo price of 5k baht, so I think it's in proportion. Plenty of people spend 2k baht in a night easy and can benefit from offers like this. For those who don't know where Soi LK Metro is. Look for Kiss food restaurant on 2nd road, on the opposite side of the road to soi 12 and soi 11 and pretty much between those 2 sois. Soi Diana runs along side the resturant. Walk up soi diana until you see the sign for Lolitas high in the air on the left hand side of the soi. You have arrived a
  2. Would you mind talking a pic of the room too ? I can't see any pics on the site.
  3. Hi Markytree, You can actualy get the same standard or deluxe sea view rooms a little cheaper than direct from the hotel's site by booking through scandibar, this will give you the same rate as the SS gives you by signing up for their yearly membership card, but without paying the fee of course. http://www.scandibar.com/hotel/sandy/
  4. It does ? I wasn't made aware of this...are you talking about the minibar or downstairs in the lobby bar ?
  5. Never had the pleasure of meeting this lady. I have the feeling though from what i have read that i would have liked & got on with her very well. The pictures tell all i need to know about this girl, beautiful person with a warm smile and a kind heart. Like others here have already said, it is just not fair that people like her should be taken from us so early on. May Om be in a better place now ...R.I.P
  6. 2 different hotels but run by the same people. They are right across from each other on the soi. Be patient with the email , may take a while or may not have net connections right now as this can happen often in patong , especially in view of the recent heavy floods there.. One of the guys who runs them is a german called Peter and seems like a nice guy.
  7. How crazy to start the work at that time of day Sometimes los just completely baffles me
  8. Hi , I'm a regular to Patong so i would advise any of the following - guest friendly and close to Banlga rd. C & N Hotel http://www.cnhotelpatong.com/ Orchid Residence http://www.orchid-residence.com/ Swiss villa http://www.phuket.com/villaswiss/ Valhalla http://valhalla-phuket.com Expat hotel http://www.expathotel.com/ Any of these will serve your purpose well
  9. I agree and think it's not too much to ask for a comfortable journey. The only part i didn't like was emailing my cc details to Sandy spring to guarantee pickup, I know many Bm's will have views on doing this , I just hope as it's through the hotel that it will be legite and i will have no fraud problems. What are your thoughts on doing this ?
  10. Yes , I done it already and prebooked though Sandy spring. Will cost me 1,500 including tolls but worth the extra money for a pattaya newbie, at least i can get a cheaper taxi meter next time when i know the way Just over 2 weeks now till wheels up
  11. Arriving in Bangkok on TG911 from London Heathrow on 1/11/04 at 06:10 am If anyone on this flight or arriving around the same time would like to share taxi/limo please pm me. My destination is Soi 13 if this helps
  12. Great advice Roland and also makes a lot of sense as i can see your route requires less driving. thanks a million ps...you got the greatest avatar iv'e seen on here ...sheer class
  13. Do Bangkok taxi/limo drivers from the airport generally find pattaya hotels easy? I see it is a one way system on beach/2nd road so i am thinking that to get to Sandy spring they have to drive all the way down Sukhumvit rd to South Pattaya rd and then turn right at the bottom to lead you into 2nd road. Have i got that right ? Can i assume they know all the soi's / soi numbers , so if i just say soi 13 or soi sip-saam they will know where they are going ? Sorry for the newbie questions ..it's my 1st time to pattaya and the Sandy Spring.
