I bought a car on hp,a toyota yaris,from the Rayong Toyota dealer october last year brand new. I've always paid for the service. UK i'd get 3 years free standard. services are small money -1000 bt but ??? shouldn't there be something similar here. Can anyone let me know the rough costs of running a swiming pool out here, about 10msq and 1.2m deep. Everybody I know is putting me off as they say the cost is astronomical. But they don't have one. The missus seems to think it's more expensive than a house. I can get quotes for building one but the cleaning, elecricity, filter costs no idea. anyone have any prices. Sparkey

Is there a car ferry there from any of the east ports to any of the west ports Hua Hin ,Chomphon Etc. it would save me a lot of driving just jumping on a boat but although I've been to the islands my side I've never seen any ferries going further. any help would be good even if it's negative cos then I can stop asking around. sparkey

Forgot to post but a couple of weeks ago I booked the Phuket deal for cargo agents through Touchdown. 8th till the 21st aug. It's buggered up my holidays as their schedules don't fit in with my shifts.I'll just have to work some more OT for lieu days. 180.50 gbp return . It might be a crap airline.It might be flying out of lgw when I work at lhr .It might be a crap departure time. It might have mucked up my hols but I'll take my chances at this price . stayed in the Inn house soi 13 . reasonably priced for a basic room 650 bt pn I think for a week stay. Sparkey

Stayed Silver Sands many times . It's laid back off beach rd so is quiet . No noise from beach rd. Best rate I've had is 700 bt for the older rooms. Friendly staff , Girl friendly,nice pools with in pool bar.Take credit cards without charging the 2% that a lot of hotels do. There's a small soi , soi 7 I think , with about twenty bars all open late. You occasionally find a stunner but the quality is not a fraction on pty . There's some bars up near KFC , on the corner of beach rd that are worth trying out. The only problem is in the early hours going back from Pty will cost 100 bt as y

I've been getting the touchdown newsletter for years now.The best deal I've qualified for on tg was circa 450 gbp . Cheaper at east/west or ours travel. Something to watch on their offers is sometimes they cannot confirm your seat untill 14 days before departure . If your told theres no seats at that time it's pretty difficult to find an alternative thats reasonably priced. It happened to a mate of mine and he ended up paying 3 times more to get the same dates on a different airline. Sparks

Yes big restrictions .I've just made a reservation . They are getting back to me within 14 days to confirm . Fortunately I work for an Iata freight agent so I qualify. The flight schedules completely blast my holidays away as I'm gonna have to take 6 days holidays for 12 days out there . Still if they can get me out there for this party in August at a price of 169 gbp + tax it's worth the sacrifce.They told me they have 20 seats on this flight. So we shall see. I used to stay in the silversands hotel on beach rd . There are bar beers on the soi next to it . Soi seven I think . There's a bit of action with some bars near KFC plus a go go that has my vote for having the ugliest dancers in Thailand . You can find some right diamonds there but you have to look hard. On my last trip I stayed soi 13 pty and I'm now in 2 minds on where to stay on my next trip. Sparks

Can only do 11 nights as my shifts work this way . I've just come back from a month in Los and have just traded in overtime for days off. I can now go to los For 11 nights every two months . I'd much rather do this as it's less time away from the place. I can go for 11 nights leaving on the evening of the 6th , 14th , 22nd or 30th. Fits in with anyone let me know. Sparkey
