When you get in, get your baggage, go up stairs to "departures" where the cabs are dropping people off and flag down a cab. Tell him you'll give him 1,000 baht to go to Pattaya. If the he says, "no," flag down another one. You probably won't have to barter with more then one, though.

Never missed a flight I am good like that get to the airport well early. Only dickheads miss flights, you see them all the time on those airline programs on TV complaining.

Here's one review: A Migrant's Tale Bill Hoskins Califorina (10/31/2005) A waste of money buying and a waist of time reading -
Air Asia has the best fare. Can I book when I get to Bangkok for a flight the next day? I'll be in Bangkok March 1 and I want to go to Chang Mai before Pattaya. I figure, "Hell . . . I'm going to a foreingn country half way around the world I may as well see something other then beer bars and girls, girls, girls . . ." Can I book online?

Does anyone know how the Fitness Room is at the Areca Lodge? Also, I booked a Deluxe Room there. How much better are the Superior Rooms? 25 days 607 hours 36429 minutes 2185778 seconds

Now that's a good idea! We should bring that up with the management!

My past few trips to Pattaya were spent at Sabai Lodge and I do love the hotel. This time I want to try something different, though. I heard the Beach View is closed for renovations and I loved their breakfast buffet, so I thinking of trying something new and going to the Areca Lodge. I've heard nothing but great things about the Areca and I know it's close to breakfast buffets, so I may want to go there. Does anyone have any feedback . . . pros or cons? I know the last thread is about the Sabai, so forgive me for being redundant. 36 days 868 hours 52129 minutes 3127744 seconds

Find the hotel you want and book through the hotel.

Even though it's going slow, do you think they will be finished by March?
-
I always go to Travelocity and instead of looking for the dates I want to go, I check, "Flexible Dates." Then look for the dates you want to go.

Has anyone stayed in this hotel recently? I like the free shuttle from Bangkok and most of the reviews I've read are favorable, but I understand there is construction going on nearby. I'm not planning on getting back until February, but I can't wait, so I am making all my plans now. Only 7 months to go!!!!!!!!!!

I love the Sabai Lodge, but I went to their new website the other day and saw the room rates have went up. I was there end of Feb, 2004 - Mar.11, 2004 (high season) and paid 1150 baht a day for Deluxe Room A, and now the prices are 1650 baht. I do like the hotel, but I don't know if I like it that much. I am going to look for other accomadations for my next trip.

They should have a special section for fat people. Atleast have them buy two seats. Also, there should be a sound proofed area for people that insist on traveling with infants. Babies don't need to go anywhere because they won't remember it anyway.

Good . . . I usually stay at the opposite end of the hotel, so noise shouldn't be a problem.

Does anyone know if they are still doing construction at Sabai Lodge? I heard they were building a new pool and rooms. I also heard that they were finishing up soon. I'll be there the end of February. Thanks for your help. [smiley=.gif]

Does anyone have a recent review of the Weekender? The reviews on the site are dated. I am thinking of staying there when I get to Pattaya in March because I like the fact that it has a gym to workout in and it's close to everything like massage parlors, Big C, etc. Last time I stayed at Sabai Lodge and although I liked it a lot, I don't like passing all the bar girls everynight with a different girl . . . especially when you were with one of them the night before. Thanks . . .

I go to Thailand to eat Thai food.
