CT - can you pre-allocate your seat with Qantas ? How far ahead can you do it ? Derek

If you are flying to Thailand I can really recommend Qantas , but make sure you are on the Qantas plane , not the BA one as they codeshare flights . The Qantas plane will have a flight no something like QF2 but the BA plane's flight no will be longer , eg QF302 . I flew out on the Qantas plane last month & the new entertainment system they have installed is great . You get individual seat-back tvs with 7 movie channels , 6 other channels with sport , comedy programmes , etc & 10 games to play as well as the usual radio stations . I never had to use my cd player or open my book onc

I checked pricelines website & it seems like you can only bid for flights to/from the USA . They have a uk site but it is just for booking flights , you cannot bid for them . Derek

You can put your miles on either the BA or Qantas FF programs . The Qantas is the better one at the minute but they are probably changing to the same system as BA soon . Is your flight booked with a BA ( BA**) or a Qantas ( QF**) booking code ? If it's a BA code you can use their online check-in facility 24 hours b4 flying & phone check-in on day of travel to pre-book your seat ( you have to join their FF program to do this ) . The reason you need an overnight stay in London is that the Eva flight arrives in London at 7-7.30 pm and the last shuttle flight to most Uk airports leaves at 7.30 - 8 pm which means you cannot make the connection . Re the hotel room - it depends who you book it through . I travelled with Eva in Jan 03 & I nearly booked it with last minute.com , but I had to organise & pay for the hotel myself according to them . By chance I was talking to a friend who had went to LOS for his honeymoon . He had flown with Eva , booking it through Trailfinders & the hotel is included , paid for
