Just go to shoutcast.com and search for "thai", it will give you several listings to listen to, including some thai radio stations.

The only Novotel in bkk that I have heard is NOT guest friendly is Siam Square. I'll be spending a week at Novotel Lotus (soi 33) in early March. All the info I got on Lotus sounds good, except there is one night clerk with an attitude who will try and hit you for a joiner, I've been told to ignore him. Oh.... best web rates I found were at siam.net, anyone find better?

I'll give them a try in March.

Have to agree with BigD. 17 hours is no problem, and sure beats 24 to 28 hour trips with layovers.
