9 Years Of Live Music At The Blues Factory!

What are you on about? We buy gifts like toys and electrical appliances etc and there are free tickets given to the CUSTOMER when the CUSTOMER orders a drink so when the draws are done its the CUSTOMERS ticket that wins therefore the CUSTOMER gets the prize, staff get NOTHING. Where is the Total Hypocrisy 100% in that? The staff lucky draws get done when blues factory has its staff party when the bar closes and no customers are involved. PS please don't fuck my thread up! -

On Friday 19th March the Blues Factory will be celebrating its 9th year anniversary so we will be holding a bit of a party in the club! There will of course be 2 live bands featuring - "The Blues Machine" featuring Snowman and Mary and "The Rock Machine" featuring Pattaya's hottest new guitarist "Nueng" and of course our resident superstar The “Guitar King” of Thailand Lam Morrison. I am also pleased to have a selection of guest artists who will be joining the bands on stage including some famous well known Thai musicians and a few local faces who in their own right are all recording artists

Any Pink Floyd Fans?
davethailand replied to davethailand's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Just been chatting with one of the Guy's who organized the Burapa event and The New Machine Band want to do this gig before they go back to the UK but they want to do it for charity, as I won't allow tickets to be sold for events like this there will be a donation box in front of the stage, so basically if you liked their set it would be great if people could make a small donation. Blues Factory will also contribute and the proceeds will be split between the Camillian Centre and The Mercy Centre. cheers DT. -

Thanks very everyone who came, estimates at the moment are that they raised about 70000bht but Mary has plans to increase it so both Father Rays Foundation and The Mercy Centre get half each. -

Special Guest Band From The Uk. Goobergun!
davethailand replied to davethailand's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Fair enough mate, I'm genuinely sorry if I appeared rude, came at a wrong time as from what I'd heard the guys did a great job in Taipei and Taiwan and were very entertaining and also really nice guys and I felt sorry for them as they had quite a few gigs both here in Pattaya and in Bangkok. -
Special Guest Band From The Uk. Goobergun!

Of course people are entitled to their opinion and as you can see I aired mine. Normally I wouldn't but it was a rude comment in my opinion about a band that were going to perform in my bar and unfortunately one of them has caught a non drug related virus and is very sick. Not the perfect time IMO to post a sarcastic comment. I think my Father wouldn't have been as polite. -

Ian the bass player emailed me last night, they are taking Tim (the sick guy) back to the UK, all dates are off. Shame but they said they would love to do it again later in the year. This is the mail I got on Facebook.- -

Why bother to post as your opinion doesn't really mean that much to me especially when they're traveling around Asia doing what they love AND getting paid for it? -
Special Guest Band From The Uk. Goobergun!
davethailand replied to davethailand's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Unfortunately one of the Goobergun members has fallen ill whilst on tour so they will have to return to the UK so I'm sorry to say that the Blues Factory gig has been postponed. Nevertheless later in the year we hope to see them again in Thailand and play in the bar as well as other venues. Thanks David. :) -
On behalf of Mary in The Blues Factory I'd like to inform everyone of her charity birthday party. On monday 1st February she will holding her party in The Blues Factory. There will be a free buffet, raffles, Fashion show and auction and of course music by Mary, Snowman and The Blues Machine. All proceeds from the Raffle Ticket sales will be going to The Mercy Centre and Father Rays Foundation. Last year she handed over 60000bht to the Mercy Center so lets hope this year we can beat that amount. cheers DT.

The Blues Factory is proud to announce that a new and up and coming band "Goobergun" from the UK will be performing in the bar on Tuesday 2nd February as part of their Asian tour. Goobergun Any stage, anywhere, any time, Goober Gun bring stadium sized rock, unforgettable melodies and great harmonies with a full on, engaging and energetic live performance. With influences such as Def Leppard, Cheap Trick, The Wildhearts and Jimmy Eat World, Goober Gun craft slabs of anthemic modern rock, combined with a lyrical and musical depth that has won over audiences around the UK and beyond.
