  1. Getting back to Airbus380 didn't the French and German engineer shops have a major problem talking to each other? Plus their computers used different software?
  2. I maintain a 'death grip' on a 20 Baht note when I give it to a Baht bus driver. You can imagine the grip I maintain on a 1K note.
  3. tommie knew about my cruises for years and it didn't bother him until I offered proof. Then all of a sudden it became a big deal for him. So lame tommie. Yes I come to Pattaya three to five times a year. That's right year in and year out. I can at least to afford to make the trip's. Send your postcard to my favorite guest house if you can afford the postage.
  4. I do use it and no Walter Mitty fantasies on my part and I've offered various proof's to back up my so called fantasies. I can understand your resentment to the life I lead and if I was as broke as you are, I might feel the same way.
  5. What's with the personal attacks in this section? MM started a section on this forum so guys like you can make these personal attacks. Use it.
  6. Computer simulations and build the fix to be say three times over the strength requirements. Cross their fingers and hope for the best. I may be remembering this wrong but didn't Airbus do the same thing when they had to redesign the wing on the 380?
  7. Your going to run into problems with the cat 5/6 cable and it's going to be at the wall connection. the connection is not designed for numerous connect/disconnect.
  8. If you do you won't need a flash it's so well lit. BTW the lights are not new.
  9. Boeing expects long-delayed 787 to fly by year-end The Dreamliner, slowed by technical woes, is on track to fly by year-end. Posted: 10/17/2009 01:00:00 AM MDT Boeing Co. expects its long-delayed new 787 Dreamliner to take its first flight by the end of this year, the company reiterated in a statement Friday. The plane maker said it is successfully addressing its latest challenge: to fix a weak joint where the wings of the aircraft meet the body. "The design of the side-of-body solution is on track," said Scott Fancher, general manager of the 787 program. "Installations of the fittings are proceeding well, and we are pleased with the progress we are making on this important effort. We continue to be on track to fly the 787 by the end of the year." Boeing said it would give a more detailed update Wednesday, when the company reports third-quarter earnings. Boeing has taken about 850 orders for the fuel-saving 787, making it the most popular new model in the company's history. But the plane maker has stumbled with new technology on the aircraft, along with a decentralized production strategy, that put the program two years behind schedule and added billions of dollars in expenses.
  10. I had just asked to book it for a month, when I read a notice on the desk saying there was construction every day from 10am to 7pm. quote I take it from the above you have a hard time reading and understanding written English. I do know a quality guest house on 2nd Road just past Soi 6 that may fit your needs. Clean, in room safe with free WI-FI. PM me if interested.
  11. One of our BM was very pleased with the tailor next to the FLB. He wears a lot of suits for work and he said they were the best made suits he's ever bought.
  12. If you can do that for 100 Baht a night, I'll dump my old guest house and stay at your's .
  13. I'd be willing to pay extra for UBC. Double glazed windows for noise control and insulate the walls for additional noise control. Black out curtains. Large in room safe big enough to take my laptop.
  14. If Tequila Reef was located in L.A. They'd be out of business for mediocre Mexican food. They do serve a very tasty fish & chip Mexican style.
  15. Tropical Bert's has a private entrance and serves good pub grub.
  16. I had a great dinner tonight. Rib's were moist and the pulled pork was out of this world. Only restaurant in Pattaya/Jomiem that compares favorably with the rib joint's back in Philly. Now if I could get a cheese steak or a hoagie in Pattaya, I'd be in hog heaven.
  17. I don't live here. Check out the the expat meeting's held weekly. The Pattaya Mail has a on line version that you may find useful.
