Same here. I leave with a lightly loaded huge suitcase with lots of spare room, and come back with a 55kg clunker packed to overflowing. I go on shopping sprees for all those things I can't get in Thailand.

Well, it's that time of year again, and we're having a little party for Pin, my longtime (and long suffering) companion of the better part of the last decade. She'll be there, probably throw some kind of a fit, and it should be great entertainment for everyone except me. With any luck, she'll get drunk and do some pole dancing too. Oh, and we'll be having some pork noodle soup (guay teow muu) for food, prepared by our staff and quite tasty.

I've never had a problem with mosquitoes (the correct word, by the way) in Pattaya. Perhaps it's because I tend to live on high floors and don't go out during the day...but it's never been a problem.

What color socks do you advise when wearing sneakers? Or do you reserve the white socks for wearing with your sandals?
