  1. I really enjoyed a meal at Mantra. It was 5 or 6 courses for 1500b, and by the time I got to the main entree, I was having to work at eating it. Everything was superb, and there was no "attitude" from the owner.
  2. If you're willing to treat yourself, the dining experience at Mata Hari is excellent. One thing to note. I ordered a medium rare steak and it came back "reddish purple" inside, what I would call "very rare". I spoke to the owner about it, and he said it was, indeed, "medium rare". For me, I expect medium rare to be pinkish or light red on the inside, not bloody purple. I asked him if the cook was new, because the time before I'd gone there and ordered "medium rare", it came out as I expected. He got very huffy at that point, and told me she'd been with him something like 17 years. The cook is is wife/SO. Jeez. I just ate the steak as is, but have not gone back since.

While that may be true, more than anything, he is a troll. Our attention is what he seeks. But, he's already agreed to stop this sort of thing in another thread.
  4. rocks49, if you want to reply to someone's post by quoting the post to which you are replying, simply hit the REPLY button below the post. This will open a box that contains the original post in quote code markers, and then you can put your reply in the new post. The way you have been doing it, with one post for the quote and one for your reply is just confusing.
  5. I'd like to thank whoever brought some "John West Tinned Sardines in Olive Oil" and Jacobs Cream Crackers to FLB a couple of nights ago. I wasn't in, at the time, so I don't know who to thank. But, thank you! I went to Foodland a few days ago and once again could find nothing but mackerel in a tin.

Yeah, you're right. So, sue me!
  8. From his point of view, if he sells more than 1 book, it will be FREE DRINKS. Of course, you could buy more than 1 book and get FREE DRINKS too!

Here is an entry I got when I googled "possession of fake passport" http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/s_to_u/sentenc...tity_documents/ You say it's a hobby, and under that criterion, it's probably not illegal. I don't know you, but your user name sounds Arabic to me. An Arab looking for fake passports is just, well.....SUSPICIOUS. Try this site: http://software.informer.com/getfree-free-...port-generator/ . Maybe you can make your own. Have a nice flight
  10. Ok. I see the drink is with purchase of a book described in post #3 at the end.
  11. I deleted the topic requesting information on fake passports. I'm not a lawyer, but I think it's illegal to possess false identify documents in most countries, and the topic is not relevant to the mission of this board.
  12. Good point. On a second reading, I don't see any reference to "free drinks" except in the title. Terence, in the interests of honest disclosure, you should modify your title (use the FULL EDIT command) or specify how free drinks are to be obtained.
  13. It works for me. Maybe you're trying to view from work and they have blocked streaming video sites, or that site in particular.
  14. Since you are selling the book, I am moving this to the Business section. Good luck. I'll keep an eye out for it.
  15. Hi Terence - I don't have any problem with you announcing your book and even spelling out its cost. After all, it's a book that might be useful to some who read this board. Welcome. My only request is that if you are going to attach files, that they be in .jpg format so people don't have to explicitly download them and can view the images directly in their browser. You can edit your post, delete the prior attachments, and using a .TIFF to .JPG conversion program, upload the .JPGs instead. Thanks
  16. I'll try Carrefour for the sardines. And thanks for the tip on ebay.co.au.
  17. Which service? 1500b to Chonburi or the style of taxi (Izuzu MU7)? It's 1500b to Pattaya so Chonburi at 1500b is a ... good deal for the driver.
  18. Would I be able to see a bogan in one?
  19. Were those shipments from an internet goods seller, e.g. amazon, ebay, etc, or private shipment where you could specify shipping method?
  20. Please open topics like this in the Off Topic or Idle Chit Chat subforums.
  21. Last month, when Mr. T didn't arrive to pick me up after I sent an email for pickup, I just took a regular taxi. It was 1500b compared to the 1000b I'd pay Mr. T's driver...and I didn't have to wander through the parking garage getting to Mr. T's driver's car. I might just use that method from now on.
  22. I'll be interested in how that works out.
  23. Haven't you been reading the Canned Red Salmon thread?
  24. Just did a test purchase of a webcam from amazon. It was $74.99 for the webcam and $67.01 shipping to Thailand, not including any potential duties. Ouch.
