I have addressed all the issues shown above...did I miss anyone? 3 problems remain that I know of... 1) The Agoda link isn't working (for me, at least) 2) The top right of each post has a faint text field that is the description for the post number (e.g. #18) 3) The (endless) "..saving post" state after clicking POST seems to be intermittant and I don't have any idea why. Sometimes when I post it goes right through, and other times it hangs with "..saving post". If I refresh the page, the post is there... Has anyone figured out some pattern or circumstance that causes this to hap -
Well, I just ordered a pizza and discovered that the 25% discount has been discontinued. It was still on their FB page when I ordered, but they deleted the post after my order...sorry , guys!

I haven't tried the pizza at Fire and Stone, but that picture makes me hungry enough to give them a call. For the moment, from 12-5 pm, they offer a 25% discount on every item, including delivery requests. Here's their blurb on Facebook...

Ok, I think I got it this time..found the source for the virus in some file where it was well hidden...time will tell if it will reinfect or not, but I'll be keeping an eye on it. -

Scratch that...the problem reappeared again...will work that too. Invision has been no help on this issue even though the offending code is generated by changing anything in one of their skins through their admin interface. -

Oh, very bad I see. My screen hung at "saving post" for ages...when I finally refreshed, I saw that the post was there. This might involve some downtime on the forum today to fix it. Would someone check the URL4SHORT problem? Do a Google search that finds a topic in Pattayatalk, and click on it. That's how to check it. I think it might be fixed now. -

Noted. Thanks. -
The forum software has been upgraded to 3.4.8, the latest release of IPB3. A few things remain to be done..no logo, some menu items missing...but it's late and I want to get some sleep, and failing that, watch some NFL football matches, so I'll get to those later. Any other problems, let me know in this thread. Thanks.

Not lately. I suspect the site wouldn't make it through Google's nanny mode check. -

PA is no hobby. The board admins put in a lot of work to get that board to where it is now, generating sufficient income to allow them to love comfortably. That's no hobby, and I'm much too lazy to even try to duplicate a tenth of what laamok and whitespider have done. I'd be happy to see more bookings on Agoda tho. They are good rates and the commission doesn't affect the price, from what I can see. -

As of Sept 30, Residence Garden ceased their advertising with Pattayatalk. So, now, the forum has no income except for anyone who uses our Agoda link to book a hotel. Since that link has been up, we have had some boardies use the link (which has a special code that credits the pattayatalk account) quite a few times, but the commission is rather small for each booking. Agoda sends a commission payment when it reaches $200 USD..and we have yet to make that boundary amount a single time! So, use the Agoda link if you want to help with the costs of this forum, the only one about Pattaya th -

I downloaded it and checked on the rate from Thapprasit, Jomtien to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, and it came up with 175 baht. I'd probably have to pay just a bit less for a motorbike taxi. I might use them sometime...looks pretty good.

Since Parkwahn asked about "grab taxi", I thought I'd put out a similar question to the forum. Has anyone used eatigo ? It's a discount reservation system that many restaurants are participating in, even in Pattaya. Most of the restaurants appear to be hotel based, but there are some smaller ones that they keep adding. It looks like a way to fill slow business times with customers, and gives as high as 50% off meals to the customers if you're willing to eat at some less desirable times. I've not used it (yet), but wonder if anyone has, and do the restaurants honor the discount

As of a minute ago, a hard wind has hit and the skies are looking dark and ominous. And, since I started this post, it's begun to rain. Well, after all, it is rainy season still. -
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000547487/article/london-team-by-2022-nfl-continues-to-forge-forward-in-uk The major hitch is logistics...getting the teams to go to London for home games and getting the London team to the USA for away games efficiently.

opening a bank account in Pattaya?
MM replied to loveless's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
To show show someone else's credit card, they'd have to give it to you or travel with you, wouldn't they? Frankly, I don't know how they would deal with me buying a ticket for someone else on my card, and them travelling without me present. Obviously, I wouldn't give them my credit card. Airline rules can be strange. Anyway, the showing of MY credit card was a requirement at that time on a domestic flight with Thai Air. I don't know if they still require that or not, but that's what happened then, and I'm just warning about it. -
opening a bank account in Pattaya?

I use my USA bank accounts, including Debit cards while here, as well as online banking. The only problem I had was when trying to do a wire transfer to China (PRC) with my bank, they told me I had to go to a branch and fill out a form and present identification. That was a bit of a problem, since all their branches are in the USA. I also use a USA address for all my USA accounts. Some accounts specifically state they are only for US residents. I have used my WF ATM card here...works fine last time I used it (about 10 years ago ) -
This blog will show how clever the writer of the virus is... it's not as simple as you suggest. Thing is, I did all those steps and found a hit way back when. I removed the offending file changes, rebuilt the IPB caches, and even write protected the files that had been modified. The problem went away for a few days, then came back. It was found by using a grep that looks for a signature string...that grep doesn't find anything now except in image files, and it could be just a result of random compression results. Bottom line..that blog, while it got to the virus the first few times, no
