  1. Hi Evil is "Filet Mignon" not pork?
  2. I will be flying with THAI from Zurich to Bangkok on the 30th of this month. On arrival at the new airport I need to connect to Don Muang for a flight to Udon Thani. As I will be flying THAI business class and have a Senator card with the Star Alliance I was wondering what is the possibility of taking a shower (my flight arrives at 06.10am and before taking a taxi to Don Muang) after baggage collection. There seems to be a lounge in the baggage collection hall before customs and I was wondering if any BMs had used the facilities? More specifically are there showers and do they provide towels e
  3. Austrian Airlines are selling business class tickets travel dates from 11/11/11 to 10/11/12 for CHF 1'111.00. Not sure for the deals outside Switzerland but for that price it might be worth travelling to Switzerland. Check out their website as the tickets must be bought today, but dates can be changed for CHF 500. For us living in Switzerland this is indeed the deal of the century!
  4. Hi anybody know if this hotel is guest friendly as the rooms seem very fairly priced? Any negative experiences also appreciated......
  5. Hi, I have also flown China Airlines 5-6 times form AMS to BKK. Have stopped now due to quite a large increase in the biz fare. Observations: Concur on puctual Service very good Food was always ok to good and drinks are giving out liberally IFE is individual screens in biz but you do not have VOD so cannot start movies etc when you wish Seat is quite a large armchair (I am 1.85m) and I always felt comfortable but as stated does not fully recline Definitely is not up to SWISS, KLM, AF standards (who I now fly biz with) but at that price go for it. Cheers, H.
  6. Try Baan Suan Sook resort. In Chaweng but not on the beach. Has a nice infinity pool with bar and very guest friendly. Has a website as well. Stayed many times and found very agreeable. Have fun in Samui.
  7. We stayed (September last year) in the Yorkshire Inn in a Soi opposite Bangla (all the action). Great for staggering home too after a late night out and very guest friendly. They also have a swimming pool and health club. Higher end rooms are a lot cheaper than the price you state at about BHT 1500. They have a website that is very easy to google. I will give it a very good rating. Hope this helps.
  8. Thanks for the info everyone.
  9. Thanks JohnnyK but if anyone has any more specific information it would be most helpful.
  10. Was just wondering if there where any left luggage facilities at Don Muang airport. Have some goodies for my trip to Pattaya that I do not want the "upcountry" girlfriend to see. I have looked at the airport website and there seems to be left luggage facilities in both terminals, but was wondering if anyone had used. Thanks for any info.
  11. Well Winston I would normally use the Majestic Suites that are nominally more expensive than the Nana, but this time I will be staying with wife to be and our daughter so thought something a bit less in the thick of things and with a bit more room would be appropriate. Any other input with be appreciated!
  12. I know these two hotels are not in Pattaya, but was wondering if someone knew a good website/booking agency that gave discount rates for either/both of these establishments. Thanks in advance, HJR
  13. Hi "Ferocious", I am flying China Airlines for the 5th time in early March and would always go Dynasty Class with them. It is a full business class, but does not compare to some other companies I have flown with (ie BA or Swiss). Seats recline to a comfortable degree without being fully flat and the food is pretty good. Drinks flow pretty freely and they had no problems leaving us bottle after bottle of red wine throughout the flight. Klm ferries all passengers to the China Airlines flight from all over Europe so there is no problem if, for some reason, the plane is late. Amsterdam mu
