Boeing once built a special version of the 747-400 for JAL and ANA. It was designated the 747-400D, D as in domestic. The entire plane, both decks, was fitted with 568 of the smallest seats I've ever seen. These aircraft, according to Boeing, were never to be used outside of the islands of Japan. Ha! Back in late 2002 I spent over seven hours on one of those cattle cars flying from Singapore to Narita. Worst flight of my life.

Some think Qatar has too much capacity (bought too many airplanes). Others think they have long term plans to compete with Emirates. Time will tell, I guess.

The problem is with the Rolls Royce engines. IIRC, something about corrosion of the compressor turbine blades. Rolls is on the hook for this and it is costing them dearly as the either fix or replace the engines.

Forest Whitaker. IIRC, he is one of the few of the main cast who is still alive. Williams, Kirby, Walsh and Willingham have all departed the planet.

Honey Hotel Bangkok. Still Open?
Samsonite replied to Goldpanner's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
IIRC, The Honey Hotel and The Federal Hotel (on Soi 11) were owned by the same group. The Federal was torn down a year or two ago. Both were originally built as short time hotels. -
Anyone else having problems with Firefox?
Samsonite replied to Butch's topic in Technical problems or questions.
The last couple of versions of Firefrox, 57 and 58 (the current version) have worked very well. Firefrox has been completely re-written in a programming language called, Rust. Many of the plugins no longer work, but that will change as they are updated. If you prefer the older Firefox interface, as I do, you might like Pale Moon. All the older Firefox plugins work, including Flash. I've been using it as my default browser for many months and it has worked flawlessly on every site I've visited, except Nefflix. For that I use Firefox. https://www.palemoon.org/ -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_B-52_Stratofortress The engines and avionics have been updated more than once. I had always thought of it as a large, very large aircraft, until I saw one parked at a civilian airport not far from a Boeing 747-400,

OpenOffice was "donated" to the Apache Foundation by Oracle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_OpenOffice As it has been pointed out, LibreOffice has become the most popular of the open source office suites, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LibreOffice https://www.libreoffice.org/ Many Linux distributions include LibreOffice as their "default" office suite. -
