I guess you might find this hard to believe, but my travelling comapanion has just had a vascectomy reversal done at Bankok Patttaya hospital. He was charged 59,000 baht and has been given a 70% cahnce of success. BUPA (UK private medical people) gave a quote of between 7000- 12000 pounds with 60% chance of success. He was well treated, and even got tested before he left. I think I might have a face lift!!!!!

Agree with all this. Best to travel with a wheelie trolley bag you can take in the cabin with you. I travel smart, and change in Pattaya. I take 3 t-shirts, three pairs of shorts. I go from my hotel in my trainers and buy a pair of flip flops for about 100 baht. I bin the flip flops on my last day cos dey smell like farangs armpit.

It is a nice comfortable hotel, modern and new and the rooms are fine, equivalent to a 3 Star hotel in the UK. The bad news is that the much discussed building work adjacent to the hotel (and it really is just a few feet away) is very, very very, noisy. From 0730 till 1700, there is a reall racket. I would agree with everyone else. With the notable exceptions of Xmas, Songkran and Chinese New Year you will always find somewhere to stay when you arrive. If you haven't been before, book one of the stalwarts by e-mail. No one has ever asked me for credit card details and they have always had my room ready.
