I do like a good toast. My current favourite is as follows- Here's to the girl I Love the best, I love her best when shes undressed, I'd fuck her sitting, standing, lying; If she had wings, I'd fuck her flying. And when shes dead, and long forgotten, :crying I'll dig her up, and fuck her rotten. Cheers! Anyone got other amusing ditties like this? Pattayahappy.

I seem to remember through a drunken haze a place in Pattaya called 'Cabbages & condoms' it had a nice restuarant and a good pool. I cannot even remember if it had a hotell attached or not. Any one know? Pattayahappy

Its up on Soi 2 so perhaps not ideal for a newbie, but the Sabai Lodge would exceed your expectations- not sure about the price now though? Pattayahappy

Interseting comments about EVA. I really like them as airlines go, and would reccomend them to anyone. Just a point on the business and first class seats. I understand that EVA have purchased a quantity of new long haul aircraft and they will use them from LHR to BKK at some time in the fairly near future. The new aircraft have been fitted with there upgraded business class product Its called Premium Laurel Class Its here- check out the interactive demo. http://www.evaair.com/html/b2c/english/tip...content,00.html Also for those of you who may not be aware of it-check out the fantastic value for money in EVA Evergreen Deluxe (premium economy) its here- Also an interactive demo. http://www.evaair.com/html/b2c/english/tip...content,00.html Soon boys, soon. YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Any nostalgic moments I have about the Penthouse were dispelled after my friends and I were stitched up like kippers there in 2000. Penthouse is a profit driven, money making machine. I am a true capitalist and admire anyone who can make a good living in an honest and open way. The management of the Penthouse simply exist to empty your wallet in the shortest time possible. One quick example of a Penthouse Rip Off. 'Buy your kitten a bottle of Champagne-and hear her purr!'-'Only 1900 baht!' In a sorry Pattaya induced stupour I did just that; it didn't make her purr, it just made me need a piss. The stuff that actually arrived certainly wasn't champagne, it was sparkling Pery, make in Thailand and costing the princely sum of 59 baht a bottle from the 7-11 up the road! I had asked what type of champagne it would be and was told either Mumm, or Piper Heisdeck! Assholes. My advice would be to get nostalgic with the girls, not the Penthouse.

Thanks Tom, Big D etc. All seem like places I haven't been before, I will give them a go. did you get the CD's with codes? 100 baht is a bargain!! Hope it all works ! I will be In Pattaya on Friday. Can't decide whether to tell people where the weight watch seller is or not? Its quite a cool thing to know and may be best kept quiet. I would hate to see any watch sellers out of business. :crying Will be thinking of all you guys who aren't there! Pattayahappy -
I am astounded! Mr Cowboy, what do you mean? Wind up? Nice Mr Pattyahappy? Surely not? I kinda thought we were all here to help each other have a nice time in LOS? There is nothing wrong impolite or usavoury about my comments, or have I missed something here. Oh no.... Have I done your bird? Did I not pay enough? ROTFLMAO Pattayahappy 3 days and counting.

Only a few days left till another trip to LOS, frankly I cannot wait, so many girls and only one willy what shall I do? Well, between beer and boomsing, I like to shop, but having been to Pattaya so many times there is little I can think of to buy. Last time it was a Camcorder (Big C) the time before a watch (Rado, not fake) Mike Shopping mall etc etc. Strangely my requirement this time is for a Microsoft XP operating system (possibly a knock off) at a good price, but I don't know where to go for it in Pattaya. I also need the best office package available. I am sure somone else here can help-any ideas? Feel free to expand the thread with any good value shopping reccomendations! With regard to fake watches, I just discovered a place where you can buy them by weight! Really, a kilo of fake Rolex's Tags, Breitling etc etc! apparently this is how they ae sold to the watch sellers, not by type but by weight! Amazing Thailand. BTW 1 kilo watches = 3450 baht Wonder how many watches that is? BR Pattayahappy

Your mobile phone in Thailand
pattayahappy replied to mbiggs's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Quite right. I think the best value & advice can be had from the myriad of shops in the corner on the 1st floor of Big C supermarket/shopping mall (opposite Soi2 North pattaya) They will unlock your phones for you as well. Incidentally, I found the instructions on how to unlock my mobile myself on the internet, which saved me a whopping 100 baht. I can now get another beer or a fifth of a short time-but which fifth I hear you ask!!!??? Regards pattyayhappy -
4250 baht per night = £60 I wouldn't pay a lot more than that for a decent hotel in London! Any way----- £60= 8 X Short time, 4 X longtime or 2 X good saopies. As the yanks would say YOU DO THE MATH! I have just spoken to someone staying at the Marriot over Xmas and he paid 650 per girl per night. If he entered through the beach road entrance and tipped securioty, he never got charged. I feel vindicated.

I wouldn't agree that they will give you odd looks if you bring a TG back! They are concerned about security and of course they don't want the other guests upset by late night revvellers with pissed up TG's in tow. Its an very upmarket hotel but I have styed there quirte a few times with my Philipino GF and allways see the odd well heeled monger around. Yes they will cahrge for extra guests and I don't think there is a way round it! :crying Nice hotel though and worth a visit if your wallet can stand the pace.

Roland, I am pleased you have such good taste! I flew in October with Emirates in First and whilst I didn't rate the airline that highly, the lounge at Dubai was superb. Food drink etc and nice bedrooms etc. The lounge in Bangkok was the Thai airways one (which I thought was ok but not excellent) and the one in LHR at the time was United airlines, which was truly the most vile lounge I have ever been in. EVA first is very nice, small cabin in front of Business with good food, fine wine and attentive personal service, the lounge at BKK was not as good as Emirates though. When I use a lounge, and indeed an airline for that matter, my choice is dedicated purely by comfort of the seat, and I prefer night time flights. Having tried all the major airlines I had settled on KLM for comfort, price and convenience. I live in the UK and you can connect to AMS from any UK regional airport and use Amsterdam as the hub. However KLM have petty lousy lounges and a very poor selection of food. Surprisingly, I prefer the Louis Tavern Lounge at BKK to any of there lounges at Schipol. This is because the seats are comfy and the bar close by. I don't work so I couldn't give a fig about internet access or bedrooms or quiet areas etc, I just want somewhere comfy to plant my arse. Sadly, KLM have put there prices up, and after taking a few of my mates to Manila from Bristol in Business and having a very poor experience I decided to stop flying with them. I currently have BA, Quantas, Thai and Cathay Pacific on trial; all of which seem pretty good. This thursday or friday I will be trying Lufthansa from LHR via Munich in Business featuring there new Business class product. I will let you know what I think!

You can usually get a very cheap price with Aeroflot but I would never want to Fly in an Iluyshin again. It scared me to death and I fly a few timesa month. Kinda reminded of the old 707's from the 70's. I took a firts class ticket at £900- would never ever do it again, more because of Moscow airport and the chopping and changing of schedhules at the last minute, we made an unschedhuled stop in Mongolia which added 8 hours to the journey with no warning, or explanation! Imagi9ne if you will being told your about to land, expecting Don Muang and seeing Snow!!!!!
-
Strongly disagree with Roland here. The EVA longe is fine, I used it in November. Couldn't fault it. Will check for you next week. The lounge at LHR is SAS and is very nice.

Generally fitness rooms (Gyms) would be in the more up-market hotels in Pattaya, Marriot Dusit resort etc. All OK (in fact good international standards and price!) but those hotels may not be guest friendly. You would have to ask here first. I mentioned that the Marriott ws NOT girl friendly (ie, without an extra charge) but my info was out of date and I was corrected. I would imagine that you know about the big Gym on beech road? If not I am sure some helpful soul will provide the link. I don't excercise personally. I heard it gives you cancer. Good luck

Thank you Mr belly. I shall peruse said shop next week and buy my uk GF someting nice.

I know of a job going for a bar manager in the center of walking street. Popular bar, nice place chinese business man owner. It was offered at about £480 nper month paid in THB in cash. the only perk was 5000 baht a week to use as desired (pay cops, buy customers a drink, fuck de girls etc) You could live on it I guess but not very well. the only upside of course would be the constant string of european (in particular british) innocents, ripe to be ripped off by some unscrupulous farang.

Usually they cry, then if you don't offer more money they scream and cry some more. then if you still don't pay, you can expect a visit from her Thai boyfriend. One day closer.

Most comfortable beds?
pattayahappy replied to mister_handy's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Soi 13 noise has been much commented on. I am there on Thursday, and will report whilst on my vacation. I guess if its noisy I will move but only after i have tried ear plugs and sleeping pills. BTW- for sleeping pill read LBFM. Pattayahappy! -
Hilarious!! I have sent it to everyone in my address book.

i am so excited by the time I hit BKK airport, nothing (not even the soothing hands of the maseuse's in the airport) would delay my transfer to Pattaya. I usually offer the driver a 1000 baht tip if he can do the journey under 1 hr 20 minutes! They haven't done it yet, but all have tried!! I wish they would hurry up and finish the new airport. Anyone stayed at Rosie O'Grady's?
pattayahappy replied to Fr. Lust's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Its not my cup of tea, but I have seen the rooms which are ok for the money. It is without doubt guest friendly! -
I know a guy who claims to purchase tickets which purport to be set returns (fuixed dates) but gets them changed by a travel agent for a couple of thousand baht by a travel agent somewhere in Pattaya or Jomtien. He generally pays around £375 for his tickets and has travelled with EVA,Emirates and Quantas. I know for sure he bought a £430 quantas return and extended for two moths with no fee other than the one from the agent. I will see him next week in Pattaya and will find out what he does and where. Watch this space.

Are Jim Thompson bags now the preferred tax free smuggled item form Pattaya? have they usurped Louis Vitton!! I haven't ever heard of them? Are they nice, would it suit me?

I just remembered something about Pool tables in Pattaya. Many years ago I made the mistake of staying at the pox ridden Penthouse Hotel on Soi Pattaya Funland. They had a pool table in the bar that had dents all over the serface so when you hit your ball it didn't go in a straight line! ROTFLAMO! Amazingly, people used to play it all the time anyway and the cheeky bar manager (now residing in a jail in Thailand on drug offences) and the frightening mamasan, would actually charge you for its use! I wonder if its still there? i would never venture into the shithole that is cats agogo myself, perhaps someone else knows? All the best Pattayahappy Note:Cats is now called Kittens I think?? they got caught out a few times by Pattaya plod!!
