  1. Well, on the other hand... If it was nice looking females inviting me inside to 'measure me up' I might have more time for them...
  2. There was a similar thread in the Members section a while back. I'll re-post my thoughts here: I get pissed off by these bastards. One of the most annoying aspects is the way they try and win you over by greeting you with an 'Awite mayte' in a fake Cockney accent and hold their arm outstretched hand pointing down in an attempt at what they think is a 'cool' handshake. They can fuck right off! I'm not a fucking Cockney so don't patronise me with the fake accent.... The Thais don't try tactics like this so why do the Indians and Pakistanis? I'm patient with most people but when the same guy sees me walking past his shop every day for a month and still tries his stupid fuckin' sales tactics (after me always saying 'no thanks') then I think it's OK just to blank the git. And... if he is blocking my path deliberately then I think it is OK to keep walking and make him step aside.... Fuckers...
  3. If I was an American (or some other nationality that doesn't appreciate the beautiful game) then I would probably choose a non-footy bar to keep away from the uncouth mob. But I'm British and I love watching football. When major games are on, I'll choose pubs with good screens that are showing the games and where you can hear the commentary. I am looking forward to watching the World Cup in Pattaya.
  4. Tip if you feel like it. I'm sure they will not be offended. If somebody wanted to give me extra money i would not be offended. If I'm getting a real bargain and excellent service (especially compared to the UK) then I will tip what I feel like giving. That may range from 10 Baht to 100 Baht, depends what kind of mood I'm in. Do as you please. Do not be told what to do from here.
  5. I thought this would be about real football.... Proper football started a couple of weeks ago.

  8. They do have UBC satellite TV in the rooms. Sony Wega telly plus DVD player. The 6 monthly rates are a big discount compared to what you would pay per night there. I'm not sure about the 16500 Bhat rate but it would be something round about that price for a standard room. The 6 monthly rate for a suite is about 27000 Bhat with 5% discount on that rate if you pay for your six months in advance. The rates quoted below are a bit out of date - they have increased a little bit, so I would guess that the 6 monthly rate for a standard room is nearer 17000 or 18000 B per month. Still a good deal though. ................................................................ Daily Rates Apartment Type Area (SQ.M) Tariff Rate Deposit Standard Room 36 2'000 2'000 Studio Room 46 2'300 2'000 Superior Room 56 2'500 2'000 One Bedroom Suite 72 3'000 2'000 Deluxe Suite 168 5'500 2'000 Rates are net for 2 persons. 3rd person additional charge: 300 Baht/day Long Stay Monthly Rates Apartment Type Area (SQ.M) Deposit 2 Months 3-6 Months 6 Months plus Standard Room 36 10'000 20'000 18'500 16'500 Studio Room 46 10'000 22'500 20'500 18'000 Superior Room 56 10'000 25'000 23'000 21'000 One Bedroom Suite 72 15'000 30'000 27'500 25'000 Deluxe Suite 168 15'000 60'000 58'000 55'000 One month deposit for lease period of 3-6 months Two months deposit for lease period of 6 months or more Water supply charges 25 Baht per unit, electricity charges 7 Baht per unit. 9. I'm in. (Clampit Badgers) I'm in for the 1000 Baht wager too. Let the games commence......
  10. I'm staying at the LK on a long term deal - the one bed suite which costs 3000 per night is knocked down to about 26000 Baht on a long term monthly deal. I think it is a very good deal considering the facilities and location. (I don't think I would fork out 3000 per night though). It's on Soi Diana Inn - the Soi that runs up to Soi Buakao where Kiss food is. Facilities: Swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room. They are currently building a 'spa / massage' place as well. The building is only about 9 months old I think. It feels clean, spacious and luxurious compared to some places that I have stayed. The rooms are great - large and well furnished. Nice balconies. I don't hear any street noise because the building is set back from the Soi. I'll try and post some photos later on but I'm offshore on a shitty connection just now.....
  11. I wouldn't bother staying here if I were you. The location is great - right on Soi Diamond and Walking Street but there are plenty of others with good locations near the beach. I stayed here on one trip before doing the research and was dissapointed with the room. The room had an old musty smell due to the state of the carpet. No balcony. Unless they have renovated the place recently, your money would be better spent elsewhere. Check out the hotel reviews on this site - the ones with lots of reviews and scoring highly would be better.
  12. I'm going through to Bangkok on Saturday to watch the final day of this. I'll try and get some photos and do a mini trip report..... 'Football, beer and sex' - what more could a man want?
  13. I thought you had already had your holiday Mr Matador?...... How did it go?.... Hope you behaved yourself.
  14. I'm going to be arriving roughly around that date but I couldn't be doing with someone shouting and screaming at me for the duration of the taxi journey.... would make my pretty little head hurt...
  15. Shagging cats though.... not so sure... Maybe it should be moved to the bestiality section in the members area..
  16. Has anybody got any comments about the LK Metropole on Soi Diana? After checking out a link to it on another thread (thanks MM), I am considering this place for a long-term stay. The prices seem quite reasonable for long-term stays considering the kind of place that it appears to be and the facilities that it has. Anybody stayed there or used its facilities? (the website doesn't go into much detail)
  17. Does anyone have a recipe for popcorn?.... I just love the stuff!
  18. Vicki... I don't want to tread on your toes here but would you mind if I got in touch with Sara after you have finished with her? She sounds like just the kind of girl i'm looking for... Sara: I don't mind ifyou go with Vicki first but I think you'll be impressed with what you see once you meet me....
  19. I suppose anything can be obtained for the right price and if you looked hard enough. You could probably get fake anything in the UK if you looked hard enough. You sound like an underworld criminal.........
  20. Here's some good advice on how to make a tit of yourself courtesy of 'mangosauce': "For Thais, the prayer-like gesture known as a wai is not so much a greeting as a gesture of respect reserved for their boss or perhaps a monk. Get your evening off to a flying start by giving a cringe-making wai to every go-go dancer. Break down Thailand’s rigid class barriers with your sincere display of friendship and equality - the sort of equality where you get to fuck them up the arse later. If you are a Patpong tourist, don’t forget to bring your wife along too. The disapproving glare of an old trout with the missionary smile frozen on her face is exactly what every Thai go-go bar needs. Act like a giggling buffoon with the girls but ignore her completely. As she leads you out, hang back for as long as you can to say goodbye. Later, you will have the choice of either firing squad or electric chair. In the toilets you will see a notice offering a 49% stake in the bar. Your life savings seem like a small price to pay for entry into the ranks of Bangkok’s seedy elite. In a few weeks time you will be riding around in a pink Cadillac with a stable of Thai bitches sucking your cock. That’s what the other 20 guys who bought a 49% share thought too. When a pushy girl demands a lady-drink in the same breath as "what your name where you come from" you naturally agree. It wouldn’t cross your mind to tell the annoying bitch to sod off. Then you buy drinks for all her friends and the friends of her friends too. Within seconds, your wallet is empty. With a chorus of "I go dance" they scatter, leaving dozens of untouched glasses littering your table. Most girls will happily wriggle on a guy’s knee for a couple of drinks. It would be rude not to touch. Good boys might get a feel of her knockers too. However, she will probably draw the line at a gynaecological examination. You think that the cheeky minx is just paying hard to get. Hold her down. See how many fingers you can get in. When she is doing her floor show, shove your beer bottle under her crotch as she does the splits. As her mates carry her off, get up and perform an obscene show of your own. The sight of your flabby white arse might not impress onlookers but it could catch the attention of your fellow inmates in the police cell. Tonight you will get fucked for free. Even if you had pulled her, you’d have thought that the barfine was payment in full. It would’ve taken an ugly scene played out over breakfast to set the record straight. On your way out, reach up and pull the handle of that big bell. Have another go. Cheers mate, the drinks are on you."
  21. Looks like you have to 'be in with the in crowd' to even start to understand what these 'nightmarch' posts are all about so I wouldn't worry about too much dirt being spread around.................
  22. I stayed there for a couple of nights two months ago. Didn't see any bugs. The room was quite dark and cluttered so there may have been a few hiding away. The pool area was good fun. Wouldn't want to stay there any longer than a few nights though.
  23. Clubman. Why not for life?? When you live there you wouldn't be living it up like you would if on holiday. What would put you off doing a longer stretch there?
  24. Don't do it!! You might regret it in later life.... I know where you can get some 'stick on' ones if that is any use??
  25. Thanks Alan. I've heard View Talay mentioned quite a lot - definately need to check that place out. Hope all goes well for you. Not sure what month I'll be heading over yet - July, August or September. I'll get in touch and you can let me know how you are getting on and what you recommend once you've arrived.
