for anyone interested, we stayed at v+m terrace(soi buhkao) on our last visit march 2010 and noticed a sign saying that they would close from may 2010 for 6 months for refurbishment. i like this hotel lots and for 550-600 baht a night it offers good vfm. i spoke to the receptionist about the price when they re-opened and she stated it would go up to 700-750 baht a night. still bloody good value for money in my opinion. photos below from when we stayed there few weeks ago march 2010

have just looked on the pattaya virtual tour and FOUND IT!! up pattaya tai from the entrance to walking street up as far as third road, over the third road junction and its on the left, next to the motorbike shop(on the corner) doesnt help that the signs are in thai(its the pinkish building with nine apartments three on three floors) THINK i have the right building!! pretty sure i have.

yes ok, that may be the case(do skytrax base their reviews on the price of a pint..?) i think its a great looking airport. i think the overall build is great and looks good.

i am a little suprised that dubai airport is no where in the top twenty...

in all my travels i have been to doha once and i have to say its not a bad airport at all and in my opinion it has one of the cheapest duty free i have ever experienced didnt buy alcohol though, just fags but prices for everything looked cheap(that was couple years back mind) wouldnt think much has changed since then though.

we hired out a motorbike and went to look for 24 7 apartments but could not find it. we rode up and down pattaya tai about 3 times but could not find it. either me and my girlfriend have bad eyes or the signs were very small. such a shame because we were looking forward to staying there-oh well always next time!!

benfica will be next week, for the second leg. anyone see the game yesterday? i had a bet on benfica to win(£50) at 5/4. £112:50p return. very nice

well... im home now after 2 weeks over in patts and i have to say i was very very imprested with oman. great plane, great staff(one gave me and my girlfriend 10 small bottles wine between us on on the mus-lon leg of the flight) great food(good as far as airplane food goes in economy class) great IFE. oman airport is fine. i would consider flying with them again 100%.
