It looks very run down from the outside, had a look in march 2010 and was put off by this. BUT... for 500-600b and with the location i suppose it will suit many peeps.

Just use tap water but remember to spit it out and not swallow(that reminds me of something!!) Never had any problems using tap water and it's less hassle than worrying about using bottle water every friggin day and every friggin night. You could always use VODKA instead of tap water!!!!

I know you like to fly direct Ian but if you go for 1 stop over in December you can get air India for half the price... or... 1st-29th Dec. with a fuckin long stop over(there and back) with Qatar 550. I would consider it if i was goin in December(but im not)

Yeah i know but the amount of times i've stayed in a hotel with swimming pool and never bloody used it, i forget!!! Guess i will have to cross beach road and chill on the beach if i want to chill, one thing IS for sure, i WONT be swimming in the sea. We go to Koh Larn for that, lovely beach and nice clear sea(all for 60b). Cheers mate.

Oman are great, can't fault them. One thing i will say is this, if you are a bit scared of flying then don't look out of the window when coming in to land at muscat, muscat is right on the coast and in a rocky area so while the plane is banking and you're coming into land it looks as if things may get a bit hairy. I loved it!!! As for a TR, i'm sure i could manage that. btw, fuukin 28 hours return leg

I like Oman, flew with them in March just gone nd couldn't fault them. The stop overs with Etihad are quite bad 6+ on the way and 3 on the way back.
