  1. Oh my GAWD!!! I dont even want my bloody crockpot now!!! Simon Cook... i hear you are looking for a crockpot/slowcooker... you can have mine for nothing lol, it seems to be creating a lot of hot air here(excuse the pun) Blimey!!! I only asked a simple question and now me and Joe have fallen out. Merry Christmas All x
  2. Yes i do have an oven. No im not worried about whether i can buy a crock pot as i already have one that i bought in tesco a while back. I was just asking Lemkins (not you ) if it is safe to put the ceramic part of the crock pot in the oven at HIGH heat as crock pots are designed to cook at a LOWER heat.
  3. Hi, is the ceramic part of the slow cooker/crockpot robust enough to put inside an oven at high heat? I have wanted to put it in the oven to cook a quick casserole but was worried about cracking the pot at high heat. If it is possible then i could make one hell of a big casserole as the pot is massive on mine. Thanks
  4. Dont understand what you mean, i was saying check out tescos in Thailand/Pattaya as they may sell them there mate.
  5. I bought mine cheap from tesco here in England so maybe you could pick one up in a tesco in Thailand... Just a thought.
  6. Great post Bazle, what a mess soi 10 is!!! Usual Thai Health and safety in force see!!!
  7. I saw one up in the gardens near big bhudda on Pattaya hill. It was about 1-2m long and white, just slid right by me about 6ft in front of me. Fookin horrid!!! Ewwww!! I hate snakes in the wild, of all the snakes to see in the wild and it had to be a white one. Hate em!!! Even though i have had my photo taken with the polariod man whilst VERY pissed in a bar one time... never again though!! Unless VERY pissed i guess!! lol The one i saw looked a bit like this NGUU KHAAO
  8. Yeah thats it, now i think back thats how they tasted. Mmm mmm, sticky rice, mangoes, lil bag coconut milk and lil bag toasted sesame. Bootifull as we say here in Norfolk.
  9. Thanks for the response guys, now we will be spoilt for choice for places to buy it come March. I did try and make it back here in the Uk but it was nothing compared to the Thailand version lol.
  10. Yes i think we are going to choose Oman for our next holiday as the flight we are looking at with them is only £25 more pp and it only 2-3 hours stopover e/w, also we get to go on holiday a whole day earlier which means a whole extra day in Thailand. We did fly Oman last October and were very very impressed with them.
  11. Oh okay cheers for that... I just wasnt aware they did a LON>BKK flight(only found one on skytrax with 8/10) Maybe i should re think before i buy our tickets for march, maybe go for Oman again as we were very happy with them last year.
  12. Not sure how long Sri Lankan have been operating the LON>BKK route as there is nothing on skytrax. I dont think its been long. I guess no BMs flown with them yet? Think we are going to just give them a try as their website seems ok and they have won a few awards. Dont think you can go wrong with £456 all in with 3hr stopover.
  13. mmm mmm, mak mak!! Do they serve it with a sprinkle of nuts in Pattaya? When i had it it came with a little packet of what i can only describe as crushed nuts. What are they?
  14. Thanks Rodney. Excellent, thanks... been past it many a time on a hired motorbike on my travels but dont really wander up there by foot.
  15. We visited Hua Hin last year on our last visit to Thailand and i tried Mango and sticky rice from a stall on the side of the road for the first time and WOW how nice it was. We are in Pattaya march next year and i want my girlfriend(English) to try it as she never got a chance to while we were in Hua Hin. Im not a newbie to Pattaya, ive just never eaten it there and i cant recall seeing it for sale on the side of the road around beach road up to second road or walking street. Where can we find it? Thanks in advance.
  16. Hi Raj, what are your dates and how much are you looking to pay? This site is useful for cheap/last minute bookings http://www.latestays.com/
  17. Hmmm... thats not bad at all. Flights i looked at seemed to last for ages!!! Looking to spend £100 pound less than that though this time, gonna try Sri Lankan for £450 18hrs out and 20 hrs back to London(unless there is any REAL bad negative feedback on them) I did start a topic on them but no replies yet. Checked out skytrax and didnt see any Lon>Bkk reviews on Sri Lankan so may have to take a gamble. Cheers for info though Tom
  18. One thing putting me off Oman nowadays and that is such looooooooooooong flight times/transit!! They range from 20-35hr each flight inc stopover

  22. Yes but not in the room itself even though they state on their website that they have IN ROOM safety boxes... AHEM!!!
  23. We stayed at this Hotel in October 2011 and have to say it is VERY nice, just one thing spoiled it for us... THIEVING MAID(S) Okay okay okay you will say we should have used the saftey box behind reception but we didnt. In all we had 100 GPR and 5000b stolen, thank god they didnt touch the brand new laptop we had taken over to give my dad(he lives in Thailand) as a present!! Even went down to reception and looked at the video footage from the security cameras they have on each floor and there i witnessed along with hotel manager maid going into our room just after we had left t
