  1. I love the sound when I enter a 7....calms me down. Makes me happy....cow jai ?
  2. I agree with BigDUSA about the power strip..get one and bring it with you. Yes you can plug your laptop/netbook directly into the wall in Thailand but the jolts a times will fry it and everything...I talk from experience...I had my very new Sony laptop up in Korat (in a village) and everything was OK for a day or so, and then the light in the house and the village when on and off a couple of times and my pretty new Sony went to either heaven or hell OR neither if you are into buddhism. sp ilovethailand

  5. Well I live in Thailand 15ish days a month for the last 20 years or so. Takes a lot of planning but you guys are for the most part young...easy to do, just make a plan. Also, learn to speak thai from the many internet sites when you are back home !!!!!!!!!!!!! Back home in the USA or England etc. you have lots of free time to dream about Thailand...LEARN THAI !
  6. I love my timeshare, it makes me get off my fat farang butt and travel to some new place every year as I trade my week in Hawaii for almost any place in the world. I'm just to cheap to let my week not get used ! If I do the "numbers" yes I could do better I guess but I really do love the many new parts of the world I go to every year and the new color of the new girls.
  7. The new McDonalds...wide open as of a couple of weeks ago and fast.
  8. I have built 3 small houses in the Korat area with good success and I am now looking for a small "cheap" plot of land with electric water and telephone in place within a 10 minute drive from the main bus station in Pattaya. My partner is thai and we use a thai lawyer for the purchase. I live in Thailand 2 weeks per month and will next be in Pattaya March 17-31. Thank You.
  9. I have stayed there a few times, a nice place if you get a nice room. One suggestion, ALWAYS ask to see the room first at any hotel before you check in. Hope this helps.
  10. Tai-Pan hotel. Walk in cowboy from Asoke all the way to the end of cowboy. Turn left and walk about 500 meters or so, on your left. You will read posts about not being BG friendly etc. not true. I have stayed there 30+ times and use it for my secret place in BKK. Hope this helps.
  11. Any one know of any good Internet radio stations from Pattaya other than www.pattayaradio.com ? Thanks
