I use a Pattaya based guy called Mr Wat, he is not the cheapest but IMHO he would not be far off the best. He knows the streets and Soi's of Bangkok & Pattaya better than anyone i have ever been travelling with. More importantly, he does not drink or smoke and is 100% reliable & trustworthy. His charges which include tolls have just gone up! Last month i paid him 1700 Nana-Pattaya and the journey took 90 minutes. His Don-Muang-Pattaya fare is also 1700 and that takes him a shade under two hours. His English is very reasonable and he changes his Honda car for a brand new one every three years! Yeah, i know what you mean because i get those same thoughts when i walk thru the First Class Cabin during my exercise.

I always fly CAL biz/dynasty class from here in the UK from Norwich via Amsterdam infact i used the service only last week to and from Bangkok. Both ways i was on one of the new 747's with the swish interior. Happily the new layout allows a window passenger to leave the seat without disturbing their neighbour. This is because they have reduced the number of seats in the actual cabin therefore the price has incrased about 7% from this time last year. Although the fare is twice the price of economy, while i can afford it i shall take it every time two thirds of the way in to the flight i always take a walk along the whole length of the economy cabin just to re-assure myself of the siuation! Those poor people in economy, how do they do it

I've just spent two weeks there. I took a room with a balcony at 6000 per week (857 per night) as it is a double room, the price also includes two cooked breakfasts per day. Only problem is, breakfast finishes at 11am. I liked the place very much; Large firm bed, tea & coffee making facilities, good TV with plenty of international stations, nice large bath towels which had been laundered with fabric conditioner, clean sheets & pillow cases daily, good A/C, large shower room however, no bath. The rooms right at the back of the establishment are out of ear shot of any Walking Street noise. Most importantly, there is absolutely no problem taking guests back to your room (with or without ID card) Currently the only way to make a reservation is by Phone/Fax as their email & internet reservation service is never checked! I asked about this and the staff said the boss in Bangkok is aware of the problem.

That period between Christmas Eve and New Years Day is as busy as it gets. All decent & half decent hotel rooms are occupied. Many of the girls hook up with their sponsor (boyfriend) and the real lookers are able to name their price and be picky about whom they go with. For the last eleven years i've spent this period in Pattaya and last year i vowed never again so i've booked a chalet on the Island of Koh Chang where i shall hang out for a week along with two babes whom i shall do a deal with when i hit town again on December 5th. Having said all of that, there are still plenty of girls available! You may have to just lower your standards a notch or two. Happy Christmas Everyone.
