Wings, i'm definitely going to bkk on jan 17. i'm just stuck on which hotel to stay at - Majestic Grande or President Solitaire...???? i'd prefer to stay at Solitaire but it seems to be a bit more pricier than i hoped though!

wings, i will let you know in the next few days! i will probably be staying at the the majestic grande. i'll be staying at the sawasdee sea view on soi 10 in pattaya by the way...

hello all, i'll be going to bkk from pattaya on jan 17 & looking to stay somewhere near soi cowboy. Theres the Swiss Grottino off soi 17 but i'd prefer to stay in a four/five star hotel. The Majestic Grande seems to fit my budget but it is further away. Any advice anyone...?

Paul, forgot to say, i might need to make a detour en-route by the lek hotel on 2nd road on the way to pattaya. Also for my return journey, i will probably need to be picked up from the hotel around 2pm-ish on jan 24 unless i go to bangkok a few days before...thx

i agree with your answer 4, phantomtiger. i have been to both pattaya & bangkok three times this year already so i'm probably a seasoned traveller. i have found pattaya to be more relaxing & less hectic than bangkok. i can't wait to relax again in january when i return for a final visit b4 i tie the knot!!!

have to agree with rodeoooo, trip will totally fuck you up. already been to pattaya three times & that was only in 2005, first time in february, then in june & again in september. will be making one more journey in january 06 b4 i tie the knot.

i was there last september & looks like they have stopped selling cigarettes at arrivals, you can't even buy it at kingpower dutyfree store in world trade center!! there are couple of stalls that sell cigarettes b4 passport control! ps. buy in bulk at ur nearest 711. not much difference in price from a carton.
