I just spent 10 days at the Sabai Lodge (Sabai Wing) and am now at the Bella Villa Prima. I like this hotel much, much better than the Sabai Lodge. It's a better value, I really appreciate the WiFi, and the decor/amenities are better. Don't get me wrong, Sabai Lodge is definitely a nice hotel, but if I had to pick between the two I'd go with BVP. I'll write reviews on both when I get home.

It's one of the places I was considering staying in this March. Bella Villa Prima and Sabai Lodge have been much, much better about responding to my questions so I think I'll take my business there. It's a shame since ER has lots of the features I'm looking for and the wired internet would allow me to give my Vonage router a shot so I can at least pretend to do some work while I'm over there...or at the very least call my friends to tease them about how I'm in Pattaya and they're not.

I enjoyed Elephant Village quite a bit. A lot of people like Nong Nooch, but I was a little bored there. I really want to check out the Sriracha Tiger Farm on my next trip.

What are you talking about? The pool at the Majestic Grande is only a little smaller than the pool at the Westin.

SANDALAY RESORT - Beach Rd & Soi 2

Wow, this place looks great. I just dropped them a line to ask about gym, internet, safe, and joiner fees. -
I'd also give the Majestic Grande a look. It's located near NEP and right across from Annie's Massage. It's smaller than the Landmark, Marriott, Sheraton, and Westin, but I think it's a much better value for the money. Nice rooms, nice pool, nice spa, nice staff, and girl friendly.
-
What didn't you like about the Sabai Wing? I'm choosing between these two hotels as well and would appreciate your input.
-
Does the ER have in-room safes?
-
The Starbucks on Beach Road and Soi 13/something had wireless. Sorry I don't remember the exact cross street.
-
Whitehouse Condotel is guest friendly, but with wired internet. I was thinking of brining my Vonage router with me if I stay there again.
-
Thanks for the 411. I really appreciate it. I've been whittling down my choices for my next stay. I've written of Mercure and Areca. Right now it's between Sabai Lodge and Bella Villa Prima.
-
Did you ever have any problems drunkenly crossing 2nd road late in the evening? That's my one big fear of staying at Areca.
-
A-ha! That explains it. The map I was looking at said it was on Soi Post Office. Hmmmm, maybe I don't want to be staying here. Perhaps Bella Prima Villa is worth a look. Thanks again TC!

Thanks for the reply TC. I actually tried to find it (didn't try very hard), but always get the 13/X sois confused.

I haven't left and I'm already planning my next trip.... Anyone know if the Mercure hotel is guest friendly? It looks pretty nice. I did a search and couldn't find much.

I'm at the Majestic Grande right now and am very pleased with the hotel. In between hunting sessions, you can relax in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room (broken right now though). As far as I'm aware, the Grottino is nice but doesn't have those kind of amenities. I'm not sure if that's a factor for you or not.
-
Yes, I've seen the site. It doesn't give me any information I don't already have. That's why I'm asking other people.

Anyone have any experience here? I've booked a stay in January, but it was based only on two reviews. Didn't find much on the search either. I was interested in checking out their condos while I'm there. What's the range for a ncie 1 bedroom condo these days? Thanks in advance.
