We're possibly staying there next trip - they are within walking distance of Tony Muay Thai gym as we train there when in Pattaya, they have their own gym but looks a bit basic.

we've stayed there twice 2005/2006 - and found it great - the pool is as good as it looks, bungalow we stayed in was dated but a decent size. no complaints. 5 min walk to main naklua rd, 2nd road not much further - lots of local eateries/bars/supermarkets or everything else just a short baht bus ride away. if you end up staying there - there is a small bar opposite that does GREAT food, and very cheap laundry :)

we got good deal on flights too £453 each for April which is less than we paid last year for stopover flights with emirates Oh i do like a bargain

Our main consideration were for a supermarket, laundry and places to grab something to eat quickly - sounds like it's all within easy distance - and anything more that we want just needs a quick baht bus ride. Torre - your recommendation as a trusted pal has closed the deal see you in April

I have ben looking at RG and it's a distinct possibility for our next trip - can anyone help with info about the general area and what's nearby?? Restaurants, supermarkets, etc etc as we've never ventured that far! If anyone has some pics (or could take some???) of the streets around that area it would be much appreciated Thank you

pattaya bay resort charge 500bt for 2nd guest (3rd person in room) it is also stated on their website

have heard good things as per other replies - we were lookin to perhaps stay but they charge 500bt for 3rd person in room - so maybe not.....

prices also extend on to april - just booked for £453 per ticket using Opodo

we dined here twice on our last trip - steak was lovely in our opinion - much better than we had expected, as Thai staeaks don't seem to be "good" on a general basis. Have to agree that the nachos were a bit soggy, but otherwise food was good and served quickly.
