  1. Thank you for the info, I am a bit familiar with Pattaya, having stayed at Diana Garden Resort, which is good value, I was curious about the Diana Estates, especially when in walking distance to a decent Gym. I am surprised, they still do not have WIFI or LAN, so I think I am going to try something new like Jomtien, or stay at proven places like Tycoon Place or Diamond City Place, South Pattaya Road, Tony's Gym round the corner......
  2. Like said before, the Bamboo Bar , South Pattaya Road, is one of the places for old geezers, seeking female companionship From 11 pm onwards......
  3. Hi, any information of Soleil de Siam or Diana Estates ? Are these different facilities ? Recommended for long term stay ? anyone stayed there recently ? Do they have a Gym ? or are these Apartments in walking distance to one of Tony's Gyms ? , the one one Soi Langkee/Third Rd ? Thank you
  4. Hmmm.... miss the Loi Kroh and Housewives trip ....
  5. Is there a Fitness facility / Gym in the Complex ?
  6. Have been in Cambodia last November/December for 4 weeks, based in Phnom Penh. Stayed at a nice serviced Apt. near the Central Market. http://www.nokorlucky.com/ The city itself is quite nicely located at the river, a lot of bars/cafes along the Sisowath Quay, but is quite dirty, the quality of food is not equal to Thailand. Besides some places in upscale hotels, no decent Gym is to be found. Highlights have been the 3-day dragon boat races in November, nice festival with a lot of people..... All in all a nice experience, but I prefer LOS any time
  7. Have travelled Vietnam from Hanoi down to Saigon recently. The big cities are way too hectic to enjoy. Some very nice resorts in Nha Trang and even better in Mui Ne, very good climate... Food is pretty good and cheap. But did not find any seviced Apt. there. People are not that friendly like in Thailand, sometimes pretty pushy regarding tips... Do not forget the communist heritage, shown everywhere.... not everybody's taste... ALTOGETHER THAILAND NUMBER 1
  8. I see.... so you are probably hoping that there will be non stop flights , lets say from Muskoogee, Twin Falls or even Eaton Rapids to LOS as soon as the Dreamliner 787 is on schedule.... would save You big time, indeed ....
  9. This for all of us, having flights from 13 to 23 hours.... to come to Pussyland .... Whatever they called their "dreamliners"...or "buses" there was nothing new, all the innovations do not help the passenger much, regarding seat comfort.... The only hope, the A 380 is delayed.... absolutely no reason to jubilate about.... or do you care more for Boeing than for the comfort of your A$$
  10. Took my ACER 1692 WLMI to Pattaya and the Carribean, never had problems Built in speakers and microphone are pretty convenient for use with SKYPE and Msgr.
  11. Yep, Apex hotel could offer what you need.... Good value for money at "Diana Dragon", 198/16 M.9 Buakhao Rd....not sure about closing time of the BBufett... Regards from Wuppertal..... won`t miss your car there ??
  12. Used Mr. Tooms service recently on my way back home.... its effective and I do recommend it....
  13. After my experience the situation right now is as follows : 1.yellow line not running 2.red line running clockwise appr. each 20 minutes 3.green line running clockwise, appr. each 40 minutes/hour Due to running just clockwise, a lot of the stops are obsolete, like these at the beach road, also some in the north.... And, beware : It is quite common that an approaching "green line" might in fact be a "red line", identified as such just by a sign behind the front window, better ask the driver any time you enter.... Not a bad system of transportation, but requires a bit of know h
  14. No they don`t yet... Bus stops are plenty, however very hard to discover, see here... stop at 2nd Road/Soi Diana Inn (Soi 8 ??) across Diana Inn ...
  15. Discovered the webpage : http://www.tatnews.org/tourism_news/images...chBus/b_map.jpg and saw one bus of the "Green Line" yesterday at South Pattaya Road Would like to catch the "Red Line" for a roundtrip.....
  16. Being right now in Pattaya, we heard about the Beach Bus Lines. But it seems to be pretty hard to get nearer information about schedule and stops. In our hotel we were told, that one of the stops would be at the BIG C at 2nd road, but found neither sign nor somebody there who knew about the buses Are these buses for real ???

  19. At the moment in Pattaya, looking for long stay accomodation, we visited SANYA Apts., just for learning that they are already fully booked for wintertime. They recommended the new TYCOON PLACE serviced Apts., opposite at the other side of South Pattaya road. I was showed a 2 room Apt. for 18500,- / month and a 1 room Apt. for 8500,- /month for high season.Electricity and water will be extra. There is a small pool too. Everything looks clean, nice mobiliar, well worth the price I`d say. Off we went with a reservation for a top floor studio.... Tycoon Place 497/2 Moo 10 South Pattaya,
