Any truth to the 1 am closings in Pattaya?

Why when the (IMO)girls are the main attraction do some guys want to spend so long getting pissed then using viagra cause they cant get it up, and why complain about closing time if you are so desperate then start earlier

Its because nobody wants to be told when to go home and staying out late is what europeans do in general and on holiday in particular. Getting too pissed to go to work the next day (don't have to) is another one of life's little pleasures.

 

We don't like to be told what to do. The Nanny State that is the UK does enough of that. Those who want to be tuicked up in bed before midnight can do so, whatever time the bars close.

When I was there last April, it still was 2 am closing.

 

I was under the impression that this move was put on hold for a while a few months ago. Now I find out it has been put into effect.

 

I would agree with some from the past that this move will have punters rethinking their trips to Pattaya and Bangkok. I like the fact that the 2 am closing was just a perfect time for the bars to close as they are back in most US cities.

 

So my qustion to all here to go along with the thread that was started. How many of you think this will hurt the Pattaya area?

 

If you can still stay in the bar after the 1 am closing with shutting down of the lights and music and still drink, do you think this will work to make punters happy that want to contiune to drink?

Sort of came in last week. Some closed at 1am, some music off at 1am but open till 2am.

 

We'll find out over the next week or so what the medium term situation is.

Just in time for the high season as it comes in to play. Wonder if it will kill the high season next year or even the low season after the hoildays?

 

Sad to see this coming as it just makes those that want to have a good time at night look for other places to go.

Some of us remember when Pattaya was a fun place to go when the gogo's were open until 3/4am then Marine 1 followed by Marine 2 disco and if you still wanted more then Boom until whatever time the next day.

Do you think people will put up with this shit when other countries are far more welcoming ?
