I know this has been discussed before, but I cannot seem to locate it with the search function. I think someone mentioned that the best prices for DVDs are available at the local market off of Sukhumvit road in Pattaya. Please correct me if I am off base here.

If bringing back to states, make sure they are NTSC, not PAL. Look on the back. I got stuck with 6 PAL DVDs that I can't play....

If you've got a decent computer you should be able to play them there.

Thanks for the tip! I will be sure to get the NTSC variety. I am going to bring my Cyber Home CH300 DVD player (portable) so I can try all the DVDs before I bring them back. I copied down the "hack" to set the player to "all regions" so I should not have any problems. I have a dvd player in my laptop (a Dell 700m), but I have heard stories about how it is set to the region for the first 2 or 3 DVDs that you play. I plan to be a little more careful with that one.

Thanks for the information everyone.
