Just seen on CNN the chances of a bird flu pandemic starting. Predicting 2 to 7 million deaths. Before the flaming starts I was in thailand last year during the bird flu and I have tickets for January but this seems a little more threatening as they just reported the first human to human infection.

now if SARS would just make a come back and a few more problems with the airlines, maybe the airline ticket prices would come down!!

Here we go again. Seems odd that a punter would lament the bird flu but would not think twice about putting his tongue in a BKK pole hanger's fanny.ha

I agree !! bird flu had killed 7 Thai pple so far this year, out of 63 million. Sars had killed 146 chinese last year, out of 1.35 billion. bring up the calculator in your computer & do math --- "7/63000000" have a look @ how many zeros there -- that's your chance of catching it while having good time in LOL !!!

During the Spanish flu of 1918 anywhere from 30 to 40 million people died during a short time. Current bird flu has jumped species to man. If this mutates we could have major problems worldwide.
