If your looking for a non gay sauna. Head down to the A1 Cruise Ship Hotel on Beach Road between soi 2 and soi 3. There is a gym there you can join, A1 Fitness, 2000 baht for 10 visits. Which has a sauna and steam room that you can use. When I was last there, it had just opened and was very quiet. If you join there gym you can use the big pool at the front of the hotel as well.

I have to agree. Just go outside and you'll have a sauna. Especially in April. Actually, a steambath would be closer to it.

The sauna and steam room at A1 Fitness aren't private. Any member of the gym could use them.

The Pinewood have a couple of "rooms" with sauna.

1 bedroom suite 96 Sq.m and the 3 bedroom suite both have Sauna.

Think the 1 bed room suite is around 3,000 Baht.

 

The place is located on 2nd road around soi 5/6. And yes, you have to start the day with crossing 2nd road...

As BigDUSA posted, the Areca Lodge is quest friendly.

Your guest will have to leave her ID at the front desk, and if you can be bothered to wake up in the morning, breakfast for 2 is included in the room rate.

IMHO the Areca cannot be beaten for value for money, with decent rooms, good aircon, a quiet location and 2 good pools.
