LAX-Bkk $770 (30800 baht) Ouch.

I was at the mall today and went into a Dillards which is a department store. They also have a Travel Agent in some of their stores, for the hell of it I went to ask the travel agent how much LAX to BKK in March and was quoted $770 (30800 baht) which was about $50 (2000 baht) more than Eva.com but i had to have those tickets in my hands today, talk about an impulse item.

 

I can still upgrade to Evergreen Deluxe on the long haul flight (LAX to Taipei) and I'm flying Southwest to LAX. I've been flying Southwest lately and after the March flight my next flight on Southwest is free anywhere in America that Southwest flys.

 

I'll be in LOS from the 29th of March until the 14th of April, i might see a day of Songkran.

They won't because my Southwest flight isn't in the Eva itinerary. I wish they would. I am going to have 2 carryons on my Southwest flight and check one of the bags in LAX.

Southwest doesn't have any interline agreements with other airlines, it's there only downside. Claim and re-check is the only option available

I'm planning a trip to LOS 3/6-3/25 I was hoping fairs from LAX to Bkk would come down, they had been running 811+ tax eva deluxe but yesterday they went up to 927+ tax not a big deal but I'll hold off buying a ticket for a while longer

I just checked expedia and got a price of $720 LAX/BKK on China Air, with only a week's advance notice and no Saturday stayover. I'm really thinking about it, as I have a week off starting 1/23, even though it will be a short trip.

China air is tolerable, but the food is not usually so hot, even by airline standards.

United will fly you out LAX to BKK on Jan 22 returning Jan 31 fro $762. You will ern star FF miles and if you are flying 5 flights anywhere of united this spring you will earn double miles to boot.

If you wait until March JAL prices will probably go down to about 640RT. I flew last to BKK in Jan (640) and May (660). If you have to buy your ticket now, China Air final fare is 715.
