Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

I just stayed at Bella Villa Prima in Soi 4, they have (currently free) wireless broadband access which worked really well, as I had to do some work I needed a hotel with Broadband and I was very happy with it. The only down side is Soi 4 is a little furether away than I would prefer but with the compromise in this case was worth it for me. Cheers

How about the old standard: "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."

I'm in the high tech industry and have many friends in the same industry and only one has a VoIP phone. I've got friends outside the industry that none of them have a VoIP phone.

Skype solves the problems of sending voice over the internet and it works for Windows, Linux and Mac OS. Skype is free, it works well and I can use it to talk to anyone who's got a computer. That's a pretty good argument for using it today.

In the future who knows what will happen. If the Skype people are smart they'll figure out a way to leverage their huge user base to make money in the VoIP world using standard protocols. If not they'll disappear.

Donny -

Bill,

I think their suites are about $2,500 but a friend in the travel industry got me a rate of $1,800 per night for the suite. The room is typical of many larger rooms in Thailand in that it's very open with little furniture.

They have "normal" sized rooms, I would guess $1,200 baht per night but thats just a guess. The responded quickly to my email when I asked for a booking confirmation, I also called them so you could do either to confirm.

The room had a modern large fridge, stainless steel cooktop and oven, microwave, kettle + plates, knifes forks etc...... Aircon was great, seperate units in each room. The bathroom was a bath tub with a fixed shower in it, high enough to shower properly, the bathroom was large. Two Balcony's, place has a swimming pool and gym. The staff were good, I tipped the maid $500 on the first day and asked for extra pillows and towels - no problem.

Two TV sets of decent size and quality, star sports and all the nrmal cable channels....... no girl worries, was 50/50 on if they asked for ID, some nights yes, others no. Cheers
