NWA Promo to Asia

NWA has just opened up a new promotion for flights to Asia. Travel must be purchased by 17 May 2005 and outbound must begin before 30 June 2005. Travel must be completed by 30 July 2005. You must use e certificate promo code PI090. Then you also need to enter your worldperks number. I found a fare leaving from Minneapolis to Bkk on 3 June returning on 17 June for $880.00. That is about $500 cheaper than most of the fares I have seen. Not sure of other cities but I did see one from LAX to BKK but they wanted $950.00. Not sure why it is more than the other flight but it is worth checking out.

I got an email from NW about this and it clearly states in the "terms and conditions", that travel to Bangkok is not part of the sale.

you are right again,

since NWA switched sevice from 747-200 from nrt-bkk to that fucking a330 they haven't had any decent regular airfares to bkk because of the reduced number of seats fron the 747 to a330.

one condideration when checking fights is flying into Singapoe (sin) instead and then taking flying tigers or airasia to bkk, you could even do groung transport to pucket and than fly direct to pty.

the dates I checked it was $1300USD from msp-bkk r/t and the same dates to sin were $890USD, depending on times i could fly tiger air for less than $50USD from sin-bkk r/t, just an option.

I bought my tickets on apr 27 and paid $900.65 for Memphis to BKK, NWA, coach seats, airbus 330-200, depart jun 8, return jun 16. I don't have any discount codes, I just watch the prices on expedia every couple weeks. I paid about the same in oct 04 for the same flight. Paid about $1200 for a flight on a 747 (yuck!) in mar 05, but I bought those tickets about 3 weeks in advance. Right now the sep 05 prices are about $1300, but I think they should bottom out around $850 in jul.

 

I prefer the 330 because you only have to step over one seat to get to the aisle and that they have the personal video monitors with games on the seatback in front of you.

I got mine Apr 15 (Tax day!) for $830 all included LAX-BKK May 26 - June 6 on NW. This fare is still available (M-Th departure).
