HEY GUYS WELL AFTER ALL THESE LONG SEARCHES AND ANALYZATION,, I FOUND ONE HOTEL THAT REALLY AWESOME IN EVERYWAY... AND THAT IS ROOFGARDEN INN ,,(JUST WANTED TO HELP YOU TO FIND THE BEST AND CHEAPHOTEL WITH NICE STUFF.... SO ,,,, HAVE FUN IM GONNA NEED A FRIEND IN PATTAYA AND THIS IS GONNA BE MY FIRST TRIP HOPEFULLY I WONT GET IN ANY TROUBLE ,, ITS REALLY HARD TO HANG AROUND BY MYSELF SO THAT IS WHY IM ASKING FOR A COMPANY ALSO..... ...ILL BE THERE IN JUNE 30TH AT NIGHT AND PROBABLAY BE IN ANNA JET HOW U GONNA RECOGNIZE ME,, _))) ONE OF THE BEST GOOD LOOKING AND ONLY24 YEARS OLD SO I KINDA CONSIDER MYSELF A YOUNG GUN _))LOL GUY WITH A AWESOME SHIRT ON (DOLCE&GABANNA)_)))LOL... Now let me give you a few tips on accomodation, June is off season and rooms are plentiful with many cheap deals.I would suggest that you forget about using the net for hotels,the ones you are looking at are far from the action you need to be in sio5&6; Center Rd to sio 7&8;and the other area Walking street. Stay at Anna Jets it's on soi 7 your first night and take alook around you will soon work it out.there are plenty of guys alone out there,you won't have to much trouble finding a buddie.Have good time cheers "oldtimer"

I myself found the Roof Garden Inn to be nice but really a bit out of the way, especially for a newbie with no expirience with Baht Busses. The room I had was quite small as well even tough somebody from the board explained to me that I had one of the few small rooms, the others seem to be more spacious.

 

The good side is the management as the owner is a nice guy and more then helpful to arrange things like a motorbike for rent (I got a brandnew one including insurance with is not the norm in Pattaya).

 

One other downside for many people - no pool.

 

The best thing IMO are the showers, I have never found a better shower in any Hotel with a compareable price.

 

As for your comments about Gangs. If you get in any serious fight with any Thai gang - you will have no need for your return ticket any longer as you will end up with a bullet to your head. So you should leave your Karate Belt at home

 

But if you follow the same rules as in any other city, you will have a great time and be safe.

It is a nice Hotel, but there are better places to stay in Pattaya IMO.
